Well well, I will soon explain why 5 and not 4, I would go for 4.5 if it was possible but they are not 4. What is that I can never decide on a straight 4 or 5? I’ll let it go for now! What I like about the place? It is everything apart from desserts but you will not go to this place for desserts, do you? I got to try something with white chocolate, couldn’t remember what but it was way too sweet. I got to try passion fruit icecream, it tasted like passion fruity butter and I failed to eat it, still feel guilty cause I got it as an extra treat. I have a sweet teeth but the sweets there are not my taste. let’s talk real deal now, FOOD! Good and lovely spicy, they know the TASTE. We have tried the tapas plate, liked it overall and favorits are their marinated fish(loved this one!) and the chicken bites with bbq sauce. We ordered also pulled pork, it is huge portion but I made it to the end! It was delish. The drinks are very fine, there is no vow factor included as the food taste but I enjoyed it as u would expect of a cocktail. U can expect a good service and if u r not sure about ur choice, ask! They are super helpful and will spend time to answer u. The location is perfecto! U will get some sun(when there is any, Sweden, remember?) and a nice view of water. U will find a place to seat, and you can even talk without screaming, rare! That is one thing valuable for me when hanging out with friends.

I’ve been living a few minutes from Latino Lounge for a few months now, and while it always intrigued me, I never actually visited. Recently though, after a long day, the BF and I just wanted some food close to home. We walked along Hornsberg Strand and watched through windows at the crowds inside Texas Longhorn, Gotland Grill… We soon come up to Latino Lounge. No one. Not one person was inside this restaurant. Now, this made me a little nervous because how could there be absolutely no customers at a restaurant at 7pm on a Saturday night? We decided to try it anyway and I am SO glad that we did. The décor inside was beautiful; warm and cozy. It didn’t feel pretentious and there was bachata music playing(as a Dominican, it made me feel right at home). We started with a couple of cocktails which were yummy. They weren’t particularly strong, which was a bit sad because sometimes I feel like if I wanted some juice that wasn’t going to get me buzzed well then, I might as well just order plain juice. This didn’t bother me that much though because it’s not a bar and that’s not the point here. We decided to share two mixed plates: A plate of cheese and ham, and another of tapas. I have to say I was a bit confused because I wasn’t sure if this is supposed to be a tapas place, a Mexican place, Brazilian, Caribbean… or what? But then I realized it’s just a mix of it all. I don’t mind this– the more variety the better ;) Our waiter(who also turned out to be co-owner of the restaurant) was super sweet, friendly, and informative. He explained all of the different dishes and ingredients and checked up on us a few times to see how we were liking everything. Eventually, the place started filling up and we felt less awkward now that we weren’t the only diners in an empty restaurant. I definitely want to go back and try more things, and would recommend it to anyone in the mood for small bites.(Haven’t tried their full dishes, but I will update this review as soon as I do!)
