Espressino

*AVOID AT ALL COST — SEE ESPECIALLY POINT 5*
1. I was ignored when I came in. I have money, do you want it or not?
2. The coffee is ²⁄₁₀ at best
3. They opened the door, it was 2 degrees outside. People were cold inside, they didn’t care.
4. The girl behind the counter wanted to let the people behind me order before me
5. Here comes the real problem. As I was leaving the manager asked me why I ‘took so many photos’ (I took 5 photos, 1 of the wi-​fi password, 1 of the coffee machine, 2 of the coffee, 1 of the open door). I explained that me and a friend love coffee and I was sharing photos in case he was interested. She repeated her question 2 more times. I ended this super weird conversation by reminding her it is legal to take photos.
I thought she was just weird. Until my friends pointed out that she probably didn’t get why a man of color was taking photos in her establishment. Yes: a black man took a few photos and she never took her eyes of me and had the nerve to ask me why I was taking photos. Plot twist: MAYBE I’m not a robber and I’m just a guy with a job trying to enjoy his Sunday and capture the experience of a new city.
Again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Great coffee & chai latte on Gotgatan. Not much more to add!
Manage to find a seat outside, always nice to make the most of decent sunshine & warm temperatures!

Nice and small coffeebar… the staff knows how to make some good coffee… a 5 Group LaMarzocco is very impressive but a bit exagerated… nice east african espresso blend!!!
Delicious italian pastry…

A good thing about this café is that they have real fresh squeezed orange juice!
Other than that, the salads are ok. They have many different kinds of cheese and ham. It is pretty nice to sit outside, as the street is a walking street.
It is a good pitstop when being out on a shopping spree I would say, many shops are located around there.

I had a good experience here. I like the menu, it’s a roll of paper that they wrote daily items on. They feature a soup of the day with a few sandwiches. The Latte Macchiato was made with a sweet espresso.

Espressino was at one point mentioned as one of the better places in Stockholm for an espresso. Not sure if it is the same owner still but I cannot really see that it should be mentioned alongside places like Drop Coffee, Johan&Nyström, Café Esaias, Kaffeverket, V Street or Kura just to mention a few that all serve better coffee.
That said the café on the busy Götgatan is not bad. They use DaMatteos ‘Vallgatan’ as their standard espresso blend and they usually have a guest grinder with something else a bit different. The execution is however often the problem I have had some good espresso and cortado here but all the often it has not been great. If I am in the neighborhood I will however often pop in for a quick espresso or a cortado to go.
They also have some pastries, sandwiches and typical café dishes but never tried any of those.
