I would say this is one of my favourite restaurants in Stockholm. It’s not a large, extravagant, flashy restaurant but it certainly has charm and they have managed to create a touch of French atmosphere. The menu is not big but that is almost a plus if you ask me. The food has always been great and the service has been up to scratch as well. I have been here a couple of times now and would for sure come back. It’s not possible to book a table so for that special occasion I would perhaps go somewhere else but if you want a great meal in a very nice place this is it.

Love the atmosphere, the cozy dining bar and dining room, the French spirit, and the small menu. But… no frites! The mind boggles. Moules and tartare are served with bread and salad only – no french fries! When you order the moules, you get a bowlful o’mussels and some bread. No fries, no salad, no nothing else! Having lived in both Belgium and France, this is somewhat shocking. Also, the tartare is not chopped, but very finely minced(extruded?), which is less of my thing. But the accoutrements served to mix with it(capers, cornichons, mushrooms, tomatoes) are a nice touch. The rating is more for the atmosphere than the food. Though I would like to try their lapin a la moutarde sometime.

Bistrot Paname is a favorite local spot nestled in residential Vasastan. This adorable French restaurant is the perfect place for casual and cozy French dining. The décor is nice, the ambiance is romantic, and the music is terrific. The food is filling and delicious. You can enjoy a meal at the bar or sit at a table inside(or outside in the summer). The staff is friendly and accommodating. A great spot to have a drink or enjoy a satisfying meal from their simple and authentic menu. You’ll find a lot of regulars here. All in all, a lovely restaurant and bar. They take credit cards but not Amex.
