Stepped in for a dinner. The place is very nice, mostly a big long bar/lounge with a restaurant at the end. Staff was very friendly and service was great. I had their herring selection(7 types) for starter and the salt salmon as a main. Both came with sides of potato(and other stuff) and it all added up to a very nice meal. Price was commensurate with the rating, so my bill(~500SEK) was not a surprise. On the whole a good deal. If I lived here I would probably have it on my list of places to take people.

YUM! We found this restaurant after walking around for about 20 mins in Odenplan. What a wonderful hidden gem. We were seated without reservations and had a great waiter and a great meal! The unique menu offered lots of different types of food and we got pretty adventurous. We all wanted to try the reindeer heart. Although, as Americans we could not stop making jokes about Rudolf. In the end, it tasted like turkey bacon. Who knew?! Also, the mushroom toast was delicious. For entrees, we ordered the meatballs, a fish dish and lamb. They were all wonderful. Lots of locals here and the meal was worth the long walk from the tunnelbana.

Storstad is a great cocktail lounge/bar/restaurant in the heart of Vasastan. Friday and Saturday nights are great nights to go. The vibe is awesome and the scene is great. Beautiful people but not too pretentious. Everyone is dressed nicely, and everyone brings their friends. It’s the kind of place you go when you want to have a great night where you didn’t feel like you had to wait in line or suffer through bad music or deal with jerks. Unfortunately, if you don’t like to deal with crowds, no matter how nice they might be your gonna face a challenge come 10−11pm when the place starts filling up. The place itself is enormous. Two big bars — a main one in the front that goes the length of the space and a smaller one in the back. Either way, I’ve found the service to be pretty good, although I can imagine it gets spotty as it gets crowded. And the restaurant isn’t bad at all. Actually, it’s pretty good Swedish cuisine — everything from your customary meatballs and mashed potatoes to your veal and lamb. Ingredients are fresh and the food is great. During the week, it can also be an awesome place to bring a date, sit at the bar, have some drinks. It’s the perfect first date venue.
