The place is located inside Clarion Hotel and i came to conquer their Sunday Brunch. They have two seatings available at 12:00 or 14:30. Its pretty hard to get a spot randomly, so you should probably make a reservation. I reserved a table 2 weeks ahead since we were ten hungry guys going there. Once you enter this place you will notice the nice atmosphere. Cool interior with unique table settings and a great buffe range divided into a cold and hot section. We got their biggest table which was suitable for everyone and it was all set with a fresh glas of orange juice to start off with. You can make your own salad, add some bread or go straight to the meat section. Where you can have a precious Pulled beef, chicken and small burgers. You shouldnt miss their freshly made smoothies either, but once your done with the heavy stuff, you can top it off with some brownies, pancakes or some other unhealthy sweets. The theme is as you can tell by the name«American» and i definitely think they pull it off. Service kept the table clean and the food was refilled quickly. Its priced like a reg. brunch in Stockholm which gives you an okey value. I will definitely be back, but the biggest issue remains, how can i make room for more!

Friendly and attentive staff. Food was presented well but the size of the serving is in no way true to the restaurant name(American… table) and therefore a bit of a disappointment; in the US a main course this small would pass for a starter. After food we ordered coffee. My coffee was served in a glass(not a cup) and was so hot I could not lift it off the table(!) This was very odd. The waitress was quick to move my content to a takeaway cup(what I asked for), but it still seemed a strange thing to do and I wonder if it was a mistake or if they serve coffee in glasses regularly…

An American having an American themed dinner in Stockholm, ready for it? Tight on time my first night in Stockholm, I decided to eat in the downstairs restaurant and was disappointed to find out it was American food, just my luck. The lobster mac & cheese was good but I’ve had better, the macaroni I felt was overdone. The burger was on the less juicy side but edible. The bread was very dry making the burger not too tasty. My two glasses of prosecco couldn’t even help. The fries that came with the burger were the highlight of the meal, they were crispy and salted well. Service was a bit snobby for my taste and I couldn’t figure out if it was cultural or not, came to find out it was not. The waitress truly was pompous. Maybe she thought I was one of the low-budget Lindy hoppers that were taking over the hotel.

I had dinner here for my birthday. I don’t recommend it, which is a shame because I love their brunch and the atmosphere. We arrived on time and were served much later than a large group arriving after us. The service was poor and inattentive overall, and the waitress really seemed to be taking her time and standing at her podium a lot rather than waiting on customers. She also had a tendency to walk away before I was finished ordering, which was really frustrating. Her one saving grace was that she was friendly-ish. We started with a cocktail pitcher, and the waitress didn’t know the cocktail menu at all and tried to bring us two, thinking they were individual drinks. Luckily I caught her mistake or we would have been about 850 crowns in before we even ate anything. Next came appetizers. The lobster mac and cheese was delicious but DONOT try the pig’s tail like my husband did. It was absolutely disgusting, breaded and fried in one long piece with all the little bones left in. The sauces served with it were nice but that was little consolation. I ended up having to share my mac and cheese with my poor husband to help get the taste out of his mouth. The main course was slightly better. I had steak with bernaise sauce and fries. My meal had nice flavors, but it arrived lukewarm/cold and the bernaise sauce was so cold that it had congealed and was way too thick. My husband ordered the fried chicken, which was extremely lacking in flavor. A customer next to us ordered fried chicken as well and complained to the waitress that it was too bland, to which she replied that they were expected to use the dipping sauces to compensate. That’s all well and good, but the dipping sauces were weird – orange carrot, papaya, and spicy corn, which are not very American and just over-complicate things. I would have given this a better rating overall, but then we had dessert. We should have quit while we were ahead with the main. I ordered the pear ice cream with ginger and rosemary. These flavors did not mix well together and the ice cream was absolutely disgusting and bitter. My husband had the mudpie with a weird gritty side of cloudberries which had an awful texture. The mudpie was sickly sweet. We had to chew on the mint leaves from his dessert garnish to get the awful tastes out of our mouths. Le sigh. I expected more from this place and left with such a bad taste in my mouth, literally.

Good selection of food and great atmosphere, except for a member of staff with a bit of attitude that kind of ruined the remainder of the brunch

Below average brunch, mini hamburgers were inedible.

Good service and a very nice indoor interior. Tried the AT burger and enjoyed a well cooked meat. Unfortunately it lacked some edge and they forgot the tomato ketchup which we realized after finishing the whole meal. Maybe that was the missing component to save it from giving a bland impression. The drinks on the other hand were an interesting thing. Nicely done and most of them were pushing conventions. 4+! And their APA is a very nice addition to the beer menu.

I had great expectations. It was going to be the it experience for my trip to Stockholm. The service was excellent, my cod was delicious, and the corn bread was buttery. And it was in Clarion Sign hotel which is very hip. But… I was looking for a very Swedish experience, instead I found an American outpost. My Red Rooster experience in Harlem was exceptional. I had hoped to repeat that experience, it was not that. The review was not that great either. I still liked the fish, it’s just that when cooking fish, the Swedes know more than Americans. I did not order Fried Chicken, because I live in the bay area. So that was what I heard it was famous for. Here is the kicker, the Swedish Meatball at Red Rooster was exceptional, and I had ordered it again at American Table and it was at best, so so, perhaps my experience at the Grand Hotel overshadowed American Table. I love the ambiance. But I was secretively hoping for a repeat of Lisa Elmqvist.

Came here back in October 2012 a little after the opening. When there’s fried chicken on the menu, how can you NOT want to go try it out? Made reservations online, very easy and simple. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional. I like the atmosphere of the place – dark, but not too dark; not too loud either; trendy and nicely decorated. Nice kitchen. The cornbread was yummy, especially with that white sauce stuff. Probably ate wayy too much of that before my real dinner… I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken of course. It was very crispy. Though, it was interesting that none of the individual items had much flavor on their own(bland). The flavors were only really highlighted when you had a small bit of each thing together in one bite. My boyfriend had the trout and dirty rice. He thought it was ok(also tasted much better when eating all items on the dish together), but the dirty rice was lacking. I only have one minor complaint, which was that right before our mains came, the waiter took away our knives. Unfortunately, we just assumed that this was intentional(because why would you do that by accident when you know the customers are about to be served?), so we ate our meals without knives. We also didn’t ask for knives thinking that maybe it was a Swedish thing that we didn’t know about. It was only after I had finished most of my fried chicken that I noticed that a table near us had knives(with the same dishes we ordered). Man, my meal would’ve definitely been more enjoyable if I didn’t have to half gnaw the chicken off my fork as well as use my hands in addition to trying to still look sort of like a lady with manners. Oh well. Overall we had a nice experience. Prices aren’t too high, which is a plus.

Not super impressed but I’m a tough sell if you call something American Table as our brunches are hard to live up to in the US. Very delicious desert spread, but probably the worst eggs Benedict in history. Staff was friendly and attentive.
