The Selden Arms

I love this pub. It’s the first place that I went to in Worthing. We felt like we were a part of a movie scene — people were super nice, all sorts of crazy characters, and the owners are awesome. I am totally in love with this place and all the people that frequent this pub. They had a beer festival a few weeks back w/​27 different craft beers — they were all of excellent quality (even if it wasn’t your style). The prices are reasonable, but the real reason to visit this place is the great people and relaxed atmosphere. I feel like I was a part of the Worthing family the second that I got here — and it’s all because of this pub. They are very busy on Monday evenings (dart league) and also are pretty busy for quiz night (Wednesdays once a month, I believe). If you are in Worthing, go — don’t be snobby — and hang at the bar and meet the people of Worthing. I do suggest eating before heading over as they have very limited food selection/​times.

Used this place as a lad when I lived local. Had to use Worthing Hospital today and grabbed a bite here. It’s as if time stood still, (slightly), because it brought back so many memories. Very popular staff who are extremely friendly. Might go in there tonight after visiting hours! psalso used this when I worked at the hospital all those years ago! Many a happy ‘afters’ drinks after a hard shift

great little pub well worth the visit

This is one of the few remaining proper pubs, old men sat at the bar, proper beer on tap, and a proper landlord. We go here for lunch at work, and although is is always quite busy (popular place) and quite small, we can always find somewhere to sit, have a good lunch (nothing special, sandwiches, chips, jacket potatoes etc) and witter away for an hour (or so). Good honest pub. Believe it won pub of the year for a few years running.
