Very good Italian food right in the heart of Windsor. As one who just came from Italy, great to have good food at a reasonable price. Service was prompt and very courteous.

Ordered the Francesco pizza. Does not look like its picture. Counted 4 pieces of pepperoni, 7 pieces of corn, large globs of onion… ate one piece, staff didn’t ask why I didn’t finish it.
The man who waited on us had an attitude problem… asked for red pepper, he yelled at us that he only had black pepper… really???
Please avoid at all costs.

If you are looking for reasonable priced Italian this is your place. Right in the middle of town and plenty of tables available. Kid friendly and our meals were large and tasty. My husband’s calzone was massive and the kids had course meals that ended with ice cream which was a nice treat.

This is another of my favourite places in Windsor. The pizzas, in my opinion, are the best in the area. They once told me they make the dough right there instead of purchasing or freezing it. It does feel a lot different than in other restaurants, much nicer. It is a bit oily though, so perhaps not for everyone. But I love it! Ask for some parmesan to sprinkle on your pizza for extra yumminess.
The pasta dishes are also great. My favourite is the Stroganoff, the pesto is also excellent. Do look at the chef’s suggestions, there is always something interesting. Desserts are also usually quite nice. That is… If you have room for them after the giant main courses! The portions are huge, so if you’re not a great eater you might want to watch out and skip or share the entrees.
All the waiters and waitresses are lovely and super friendly. I am a regular and I do chit chat with them quite a lot. The place is very pleasant, friendly for solo eaters, couples or groups. It gets busy during the weekends, but it’s not particularly noisy, so a great option for a pleasant meal.

So glad Unilocal is up and running in the UK! I lived in Windsor for years and it took a lot of trial and error to find really great food. If you find you have a taste for Italian, go here. I still stop by when I visit the UK and have my favourite meal. Penne w/​Chicken Alfredo — garlic bread and ensalad.
The food is fabulous and I have celebrated many special occasions at Francesco’s with friends and family as well business colleagues. I love the owners and the staff is trained well and always friendly.
The lunch choices are many and the display counter is beautifully put together, yummy desserts, lots of seating or you can get take away.
Dinner and Specials menu are always good and again a lot to choose from. Pizza is delicious too!
Prices are very reasonable and they have a full bar too. Love the Italian style ambiance; a great overall experience.

Francescos is a tranquile yet fun place to eat out.
It is in the middle of Peascod street in an easy to find location and offers a wide range of italian quisine.
They offer pizzas, pasta, ice cream, banoffe pie, and many other dishes and desserts.
They are generous with their portions and are very hospitable.
The music played their creates a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend anyone to go their, families, friends or couples.
For a windsor restaurant their prices aren’t expensive which is surprising considering the other restaurants nearby.

This is the worst pizza I have ever had in a restaurant. It reminded me of an awful McCain’s frozen pizza from childhood. For dessert I tried the apple tart which was devoid of flavour.

Great local chain of restaurants. The prices are great, the food excellent and the service good — you cant go wrong with any of the Francesco restaurants.
This Windsor one is in a great location, ideal for a shopping lunch or an evening meal.

I’ve always had tasty food at Francescos. The Calzone pizzas are particularly good. The set lunch time menu is really good value for money and you get a lot of food (garlic bread, pizza /​pasta and pastry for I think £7.95). Service is always friendly.

Brilliant atmosphere for a birthday — they even put on full-​on cheesy music to sing along to.

I believe this is a chain of restaurants as i think i saw another in maidenhead. This one is rather nice. Not too large though its size is deceptive from the front. It looks small but is rather long. As the name suggests it is mainly italian cuisine and has a large range of pastas and pizzas and some great salads. It is open all day so it is great for both lunch or dinner. There is a small area of tables outside so if you are lucky on a hot day you can request to eat outside. In the evenings — especially the weekends — i would book your table, though in the day you will be fine to just turn up. The drinks and food are reasonably priced and they have a very good selection. I have eaten here on a number of occasions and the food has always been good — i usually have a pasta which tastes very home made. The décor is very italian and comfortable. The service is very good, efficient and they always smile.
