Zetland Arms

Lovely garden but had to have been the absolutely worst service I have ever had. My husband went to order our pints and meals; 30 minutes later I went looking for him. It took that long to order. We then sat in the garden for 1 hour and 10 minutes waiting for our food. We were not the only ones. People were holding their heads in their hands and tapping their hands and feet. We did notice that after a party would order their second round of drinks the food would magically start appearing. We had planned to do some shopping in Warwick in the shops but after sitting in this pub for nearly two hours just to order and receive our food, we left town. This was not even in the tourist season.

Have been eating/​drinking at the Zetland for about 15 years now and it has seen a few changes but stays pretty consistent. Think they currently only serve food at lunchtimes, but if you are in Warwick and looking for a sandwich or something more substantial this place is worth a try. We had their soup/​sandwich deal at £5.95 which was wonderful. The sandwich was HUGE! Service is friendly and in the summer you can sit out in the garden, which we have done countless times and have fond memories of sipping a glass of wine, listening to St Mary’s chimes and soaking up the sun! The only gripes are the ladies toilets, they are quite old and need a makeover… and when the sport is on TV it can get pretty rowdy as the main bar section is quite small, although there is a separate section/​conservatory area which is a bit more peaceful. Other than that we will always recommend this place and continue to enjoy the garden (when weather permits!).

Good beer, friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Beer garden.
