I visited twice on the same day and you can be sure the experiences were completely different.
All in not a bad place to watch football on a Saturday afternoon. Reasonably priced and the food was of a decent standard. Classic value chain pub fodder of burgers, and Nachos but a good serving and it arrived quickly. Bit of a mix of people around and quite busy but very chilled.
Back in the evening for another drink and I was left pretty horrified. A lot of people having had a bit too much to drink. A very sticky floor and an upsetting amount of fluids on the bathroom floor. If you aren’t into a big night out, short skirts and shots best try somewhere else. All depends on what you’re after I guess…

I feel bad adding a venue just to give it a 1 star review.
I arrived at Yates’s Sutton Coldfield at 1215 on Thursday 26^th July 2014. Walked to the back of the bar to the right hand side and sat down.
I sat down for less than thirty seconds as the seat’s were sticky and covered with bits of food. Yes food gets spilt and seats can become sticky which is why I’ve noted the time of being there.
My friend and I decided very quickly that we would not be stopping to eat anything.
As we left we noticed a poll dancing poll at the back of the dance floor area.
And why is it spelt Yates’s? Shouldn’t it be Yates’?
Anyway I’d give a better review if I was to go there and it was clean and tidy. Sorry Yates’
