«But why did you end up at a hotel-​linked steak and seafood restaurant on the waterfront in Brighton? Surely that’s guaranteed to be bad?»
«Do you have a table for 7 at 9PM on a Saturday night?»
Well, that was it, really.
If you go here: get the burger.
Chicken: dry, even after being coated in butter.
Minute steak: dry, fatty, rubbery.
Rib-​eye: fatty, rubbery, chewy.
Mash: gloopy and gluey
«Special house peas and courgettes in butter with herbs»: greasy but kind of OK.
Chips: Actually nice, though a bit cold as they’re served in a CAGE, all standing up.
Service: Lacking at best.
Kind of reasonable, mostly not, probably best avoided, really. Brighton’s got so much other LOVELY food.
