No seaside town would be complete without a rock shop. Brighton Rock Shop boasts over 400 different styles including football teams. As well as rock, you can munch on a marshmallow sandwich (which, interestingly, is exactly how it sounds it even comes in a sandwich packet), for £1.49.
A full English breakfast made from sweets comes on a paper plate, as does the fish fingers, chips and peas, and inside you’ll find souvenir Brighton fudge boxes and handmade wooden beach hut money boxes with bags of clotted cream fudge inside.
There’s pick ‘n’ mix bags of selected favourite sweets for £1, and giant spiralled lollipops. Although the shop has fallen victim to the cheesy London souvenirs that seem to plague stores everywhere in the country, let alone London, it’s the tacky nostalgia that makes it all ok.
