Visited this place on a recent trip to Newquay for lunch. The food was really lovely. I had a mezze which consisted of hummus, olives, breads, roasted veg with goats cheese and balsamic vinegar and oil for dipping. It was really tasty! The service was quick and efficient. I cant comment on this as an evening venue as only visited during the day but it seemed like a nice place. It had some good drink deals on too. Hope to return again.

modern busy pub, packed at the weekend. Not really my kind of place, but I was
impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff were. It stood out in that
regard. It also stands out because of the prime location it enjoys!

One of Newquay’s busiest pubs, you’ll be surprised to hear that it’s located right at the heart of the town centre. Heavingly busy in the summer, thanks to the huge outside space at the front of the pub, this provides good food, good beer and good tunes, with DJ’s hitting the decks most nights during the summer.
You’ll also be able to catch most of the sporting fixtures here (yawn!), all shown on large screens dotted around the place. And, if you’re into that sort of thang, it’s also ideal for meeting fellow tourists, looking for all the perks that a holiday by the seaside can provide! But you didn’t hear that from me, okay?

Great pub, lots of room to sit outside and watch the world go by!
Really good atmosphere, they also show a lot of the football games etc on their screens.
Best thing though is upstairs where they do cocktails and shooters, all different types, and last time I went the staff member doing it was really good throwing stuff over his head and everything to make them!
Friendly staff, clean place, and good drinks, well worth a visit during the day or night as they do good food too x

We went here in the Summer, its quite hard to get a seat during the day or evening in the outside area, where you can watch the world go by and meet all sorts of different people. Huge bar inside with several levels. Music and food is good here too. They do a lovely latte or a lovely glass of white wine and watch the hustle and bustle of life running passed you. Worth a visit even for lunch. They have heated brollies for those of you who smoke too!

This is a great place to go on a night out. The music played is current and very enjoyable. There are several levels to the building, making it very spacious, with plenty of places to see friends and enjoy yourself, without being too cramped. There are many bars which make queuing up a short job, and the bar staff are entertaining and friendly. The drinks are reasonably priced, similar to those in most other establishments. There is plenty of space to dance and enjoy your night, without bumping in to people. This is a great club to go to, but is also nice for a relaxed evening with friends.

This pub is always busy at weekends as you have to pass by on your way to almost anywhere of note on a night out in Newquay, there is a patio beer garden to the front of the pub which is an ideal place to watch the hustle and bustle of a weekend in Newquay.

In the off season, right around now, it appears that all the stag/​hen parties die down and the locals hang around at the Central. It’s is a fairly large place, strongly male dominated when I went in, and all eyes were glued to a football match. There was an intensity that I could really appreciate.
The outdoor seating area is decent, with a number of heat lamps to make the brisk air more bearable. It is at a busy junction, making it a great place for people watching. I could see this place getting really nuts during high season though — very glad I managed to miss it.
