I love this shop of bejewelled, sparkly, embellished loveliness! Its my go to place for accessories or lovely dresses for parties, weddings or just because!
Staff here have always been helpful and will wrap your lovely purchases in tissue paper to protect them. Most very embellished items are dry clean only so you may want to check out my Granada pressing review! If you don’t have a decent dry cleaners nearby proceed with caution.
Sign up for their mailing list to be notified for sales you can get yourself some real bargains. If you are handy with a sewing machine check out their non refundable sale rail often the dresses are in good nick with just a dodgy zip that needs replacing.

I’ve never really liked this store to be very honest. It’s always been a bit too dramatically royal. Too much silk, too much embroidery and well, the cuts aren’t that great and it’s well expensive!
The branch that I liked, that did have some mentionable worth is happily tucked away on Kings Street. This Arndale Monsoon doesn’t quite meet the charm. The shop is huge and I do like the cute and pretty accessories they have on their upper floor.
Oh well, but since you see these 3 stars above, it’s all for one thing– the completely worth it sale items!
They have many of those, and when I say sale, I mean it. Some even go for 75% even on a non-​sale season. So it’s a definite win-​win if you strike gold here!

This Monsoon lacks the charm and location of the King Street store. The bonus is they seem to have more Sale stock with some truly lovely pink, gold, turquoize and chocolate silk blouses, multi-​coloured tops and wide leg, denim and tweed trousers. Some are 25% off, others as much as 70%.
As Monsoon’s style seems to be beautifully designed womenswear with a strong Asian and Indian influence, they always have incredible patterned fabrics and eye-​catching, handmade, silver jewellery.

Monsoon really needs to work on its advertising and brand image. Until last week, I always thought this was strictly a store for women.
Now I know that it is also a store for fashion-​blind men and people who want to kick start the ‘1990s retro’ home design movement.
