Franny & Filer

Franny and Filer champions independent designers and in particular, jewellery designers. Based on Beech Road in Chorlton, the store is set out gallery style with glass cabinets and brief biographies of the makers. One section is devoted to the work of seven Manchester College students, who have been selected to exhibit and sell their work in the store.
Other items include artwork, cards and accessories.
This is a friendly shop and you’re made to feel welcome. The owners are jewellery designers and work at the counter, allowing customers to see how the items are made.
If you’re interested in learning some jewellery making techniques they offer a number of workshops. The next one is all about resin and takes place on 11^th and 18^th April 2010.
