In some kind of Steps-like move to appear mysterious and exotic, this well known high street chain chose to keep us in the dark with what the H signifies.
It didn’t work.
Passing it all I ever think is Honky Trash Samuels.
More so than any other store I can think of, H. Samuels reminds me of what it was like to live in working class, 1980’s England. It’s gaudy red and gold colour scheme remains trapped in some council faced, Christmas themed time warp and its jewellery Ming than bling.
