Amazing food as well as customer service. I recommend the B-Rex burger. They also have the best shakes I’ve ever tried in Manchester. I recommend the oreo shake. The Deansgate branch has a bit more space outside so ideal when the weather allows.

Altough Byron Burger is a large chain with outlets all around the country, still serves proper burgers made from good beef from Scotland, cooked medium and served in a squishy bun… Delicious and juicy… The Deansgate outlet is centrally located and has a nice and much more relaxing atmosphere compared to the one in the city center… İngiltere’nin en başarılı gurme burger zincirlerinden Byron Burger’in Manchester şubesindeyiz. I always fancied the looks of this place for months walking past, the fact it’s dedicated to burgers really caught my burger loving eyes! When eventually I went, I was a little disappointed. I think it was maybe the anticipation of it being superb that perhaps didn’t do me any favours. The burgers in fairness are good, but nothing particularly special in my opinion. I will probably go back another time and give them another go without such high expectations…

Stopped in by chance on a typically windy Manchester evening with a few friends, and by George I’m glad we did. I had honestly never noticed Byron before but I’ll find it hard to forget now. I’m a sucker for anything with streaky bacon and BBQ sauce so the Le Smokey was right up my alley, I paired that with a Brewdog Pale Ale and I was on to a winner. Having spent a fair few years living in the US, I am always skeptical of «American Diner» style places cropping up locally in the UK, however these guys have nailed it. Byron offers a minimal fuss, Burgers & Beers experience — and I am a fan.

Absolutely love this place. Me and my boyfriend came just before we went to see Fleetwood Mac and the food was to die for. The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The best burger I have ever tasted and love that they serve snapple! Next time we are in Manchester or near a Byrons we will definitely be back :)

I’ve always been tempted by this place as I often walk past it and it looks quite promising. However now that I’ve there once not sure that I’ll go again as the burger was really average! I found it a bit dry and the chips disapointing! I’ve tried much better ones in Manchester for a similar range of price!

I continue on my hunt for a great Manchester burger! *inserts dramatic theme music* So Bryon, I checked this place out way back before my Unilocaling days and something about it lead me to not coming back, however work had hooked me up with a team of 9 hungry trainees who wanted Bryon — who am I to argue! My first point in favour of this place where the staff, no booking — table pushed together and job done, very friend and not brother about dealing with a very awkward group. So to to food itself, I really enjoyed my burger. A Le Smoky with some hand cut chips, nice crispy bacon good patty(this place understand that a burger should be medium) and topped well. Nom. The rest of the grub however was only so-so, the chips where OK — but nothing I would come back for. I also grab myself a boozey milk shake — however it just comes with the shot by the side, meaning it doesn’t mix in right when you add it. One minute your drinking nice shake — then you taking a shot. So Bryon, I’ll pop back — for a burger. Sides can wait.

Nothing is ever a chore for the staff here! Every time I’ve been I always have the same,(the Byron burger) but that’s because I’m always really impressed! The meat still has a hint of pink and it’s the most tasty burger in Manchester!!! I love Byron burger, will recommend to anyone 100% of the time. A definite win!

After a number of Burger Restaurants popping up around Manchester these burgers are some of the better in town. Service is quick and staff are relaxed and helpful. Even if you don’t book you can usually get seated on a Saturday night within 25 minutes. Both the Byron Burger and Smokey Burger come recommended and don’t forget to get a side of the Mac N Cheese, its über creamy deliciousness(if thats even a word!!) #Food #Manchester #Deansgate #Burger

Had a nice cheeseburger, the meet is really of good quality. Staff friendly with nice atmosphere. Only down side it’s a bit expensive. £10 for a burger is a little bit much for me!

Are here last night. Was really impressed with the quality of the food. I had a Smoky burger, Fries and Onion Rings. Oh and not forgetting the Oreo Cookie Milkshake too. Very tasty, and well priced. Like the atmosphere too. Our server was really chatty and friendly which kinda improved the overall experience. We picked the right time to eat because as we were leaving there was a queue out the door!

I’m not usually a big fan of burgers but after hearing that Byron is one of Prince Harry’s favourite casual dining establishments, I told myself that if it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for me. And I’m really glad I tried it out. My chilli burger with American cheese and chipotle sauce, cradled between two lightly toasted buns, turned out to be THE best burger I’ve ever tasted. So nice one, Harry, thanks for the tip! From the outside, Byron looks like something from the 1970s, which I think is why I wasn’t fussed about eating there until I heard such good things about it. Inside, however, you’ll find a modern restaurant with a cool, industrial feel(think exposed concrete walls and pillars, pipes, white painted brickwork and minimal décor). This unfinished look seems to be a ‘thing’ at the moment but it works so well. There are really only two reasons for not giving Bryon five stars: 1. We ordered ‘Proper Olives’ as a little starter but they really couldn’t have been further from ‘proper’. They were green but not the kind of green I’m used to. They looked like they’d been spray-painted in #33D342(designers, you’ll know what I mean by this), which is NOT normal or natural. They looked radio-bloody-active and didn’t taste that great either. Weird, just weird. 2. The burgers and fries took quite a while to get to us(when you have a hangover and haven’t eaten since the night before, this isn’t fun) But! The burgers and fries tasted soooooo good, the staff were super-friendly and the prices were reasonable for the amount of food you get(I was stuffed afterwards) so that more than made up for the two negatives above. Will I return? Definitely, because Byron may well have replaced my favourite full English breakfast joint as the perfect hangover cure, though I will have to try out the Handmade Burger Co before I can confirm this. Watch this space…

The first time I went to Byron was in London and that was really very good. The few times been in Manchester, I have had good tasty burgers but not«amazing». Its hard not to compare it(and any other burger place) to Almost Famous(AF) which is the best burger place. AF is more«messy and juicy» and one where you get stuck in. As well as lovely burgers, the fries(with its mix of normal potatoes and sweet potatoes) are delicious. Its quite a limited burger selection at Byron. If you ignore the chicken one, veggie one and bun-less one, there are just 4 choices. Basically plain burger(with usual lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc), a cheese burger, bacon cheeseburger and a chilli burger. You could almost say its a bit boring. Byron always have a special burger which lasts around a month or so. The current one is a special to do with the World Cup. Its called the Ronaldo. Named after the Brazilian Ronaldo. As Byron say, he’s «a man who looks like he might enjoy a burger or three now that he’s hung up his boots…». This special burger will be around for another 3 weeks or so while the World Cup is on. Its basically a bacon and onion double cheeseburger with cheese — nothing particular special! And also at £12.95, its expensive! Actually, having a look at the 2 menus, its just hit me how expensive Byron is. Never realised! A standard burger with cheese cost £7.95. The equivalent at AF is £7 — and thats for a double burger. You can turn the Byron burger into double for a extra £3.95. So thats almost £12!) For a «bacon cheeseburger» you looking at £9.25 at Byron but £8 at AF(which has more on it — as well as being a double). The service has always been good. Byron would get a 4⁄5 if it was just down to the actual taste of the food and service but marking it down because of its lack of choice and its prices.

Average! The only reason I am giving a 2* is because of the service. I had the chicken burger with skin on chips. The burger had no flavour and literally was a chicken breast with a bit if salad, defiantly nothing special. I think I got the last of the skin on chips and could not eat them as they were as hard as a rock. The wine was mediocre and needed quiet allot of lemonade to get rid of the bitter taste. I suppose one good thing going for Byron is their selection of craft beer. Laura our waitress was very sweet and tentative. Overall, bland food and nothing special.

I’m sure in the early ‘00s, back when we were all so naïve and dependent on the big M and BK for our burger fixes, Byron’s would have been a temple to beefkind. But in the present day, when Manchester has Almost Famous and SoLita… Byron feels totally redundant. While the former two joints experiment with flavours to bring out original burgers(or at the very least emulating the hyped burger of the moment), Byron’s is perfectly happy to offer plain burger, cheeseburger, bacon and cheese burger or(wait for it…) chicken burger(for that one friend who doesn’t eat red meat). It’s all very by the book and, more importantly, boring. Especially considering it asks for similar prices to its competition! Byron will always have business, positioning itself on Deansgate in the heart of the shopping district, but I feel that this is the place for out of towners who aren’t aware of the revelatory alternatives a mere 10−15min walk away. The one thing it has in favour of the competition is a larger venue, so no fighting over tables… so it has that, I guess. The only reason I can think why you would go to Byrons is if your weary legs are too tired to carry you to the Northern Quarter with all your House of Fraser shopping bags.

I agree with most of the other reviewers about Byron. I like it. Location is brilliant. Venue simply styled and trying to be «hip» Menu streamlined and focused. I think the burgers themselves are better than most in Manchester and in my opinion better than the other reviewers suggest. There are a lot of burger sellers in Manchester right now but I reckon for simple classics Byron can hold its own. Sure you can go crazy at «pop ups» and real hipster venues in the Northern Quarter but for its mainstream Deansgate market I think this place will do ok. Staff were great — my fella and I were short of time before a film — and everything was sorted super speedy, cheerfully and knowledgeably. I’ll be back every now and again for my dose of a simple, decent mainstream burger. Try to the zucchini fries — awesome :)

Sheer curiosity brought us here, Byron is new and needed trying, so me and Mr Z did just that. It’s a big place, very industrial, and with a décor ranging from bare, unplastered crumbly walls, to whitewashed bricks and bright yellow ceiling pipes. There are also cows… little plastic ones dotted here and there. I like cows, they’re tasty. The menu is small but adequate, as long as you want a burger or salad. They serve their juicy burgers medium rare in squishy buns and they taste damn good. The onion rings are fantastic. The milkshakes and malteds are heavenly and the staff are fun and friendly. It seems like a great place to go? Depends on whether you want to pay £35 for 2 burgers, fries, onion rings and a beer and a milkshake or not. Let’s compare… AFB serves their burgers in pairs and they are loaded with utter fabulousness, they are juicy, meaty, sheer ambrosia and quite simply the best burger you will eat in Manchester, if not the UK. Byron serves a single patty with salad and a couple of other bits and bobs. They taste great and if AFB had never existed I would be gushing with joy at their taste. In my humble opinion, AFB does a better burger and they are cheaper. Unless you are better than the competition, you don’t get to charge more for less. I’m sure Byron will do well, they have a great position on Deansgate and the food is good so they will get their share of trade, but it won’t be from me and Mr Z, until they drop their prices. We’ll be up in burger heaven at AFB

After a day spent at the Science Museum it was food time, more specifically minced meat patty in a bread bun time, so as to avoid pointless scuffles and rows we’ll just call it Burger Time. As we had parked up just off John Dalton Street we decided to give the newly opened Byrons a try. The menu didn’t really do much for me, come on, everyone knows that these days if you want to be a successful Burger vendor you need to swear a lot in your menus(I’m sure you know where I mean). But there was no bad language to be seen. Not a good start. I opted for a Byron burger(A cheese burger with bacon), and I would be lying if I said it wasn’t nice, if fact it was really nice, as were the onion rings that we ordered as a side. The problem is, these days i’ll always compare a burger to what I get served at that place on High Street up the stairs, and that is where Byron fell down a bit, although the burger was nice, it wasn’t AFB nice, and at just shy of £10 it was a more expensive burger than what you get served at the place that can not be named. Also the Hipster paradise gives you double burgers, so not only are they nicer and cheaper, you also get more dead cow for your money. That for me was the problem, the food was fine, but if I can get more and better for cheaper, why would I come back? I possibly will, but I will make sure i’m not the one paying though…
