Tucked away slightly from the hustle and bustle of Monument, The Walrus & Carpenter doesn’t see many carpenters these days but it’s still a pretty down to earth boozer.

I used to drink here from time to time when I had a client right ’round the corner.
What can I say? It does the job, no more nor less. It’s somewhat filled with «pubby» tat. Though, on a Summer’s day there’s a massive place to stand around and drink in the sun surrounded by 1,000 people all of whom make more money than you. Or me.
A big selection of lagers and 2, if I recall, ales. Also a long maze to the gent’s. Some fairly typical pubby food upstairs.
And that’s about it, really. Pub. Drink. Food. City. Typical.
