Tower Gateway DLR Station

This is more of a tip for tourists than a review, but if you are planning to travel around London and will get a Day Travelcard, I recommend getting it from the Tower Hill Underground Station rather than the DLR. Also, be sure to note that there is no connection between the two stations, so you will have to exit one to get to the other.
That being said, this is an excellent way to visit the Tower of London and take a trip over to Greenwich!

Adjacent, though not attached to, Tower Hill Tube Station, Tower Gateway DLR is the next-​most-​Western stations on the Docklands Light Railway (the other is at Bank). It is the terminus for this particular line and to save cost, there is only one set of tracks here. Signs clearly indicate that you board on the RIGHT side of the cars and people will exit the train on the LEFT. But signs are apparently too complicated and whatnot for some folks.
Rant over. Tower Gateway is in Travelcard Zone 1. As with many DLR stations, there are no ticket barricades but there are Oyster readers. The DLR does have ticket collectors.
Plenty of cover here until the trains arrive. Great views of the City and Docklands areas.
Tip: If you sit in the front seat of the tram, you can pretend to drive!

Much better since they changed the platform layout, but they flipped the direction of the escalators making it less convenient to enter…
They also removed the cash machine to replace it with an information desk. Again this is very annoying as cash machines are few and far between around this station.

However at the moment it is closed until spring to make the platforms longer.
