After hitting up Abbey Road we stopped in — about a half mile walk. Great neighborhood bar, not touristy, despite me being a tourist. Friendly, and lots of Sam Smith on tap. The food was surprisingly good too — not the best I’ve had in London, but definitely better than the other pubs I’d been to. Got fried cod, wife got the burger. Had a few ciders and beers too. There’s outdoor seating, plenty of indoor seating, and plenty of probably-frequent patrons speaking English with such an accent you still can’t understand what they’re saying.

A great neighborhood pub, with standard Samuel Smith pours but they have a great range and they all taste good! I particularly like the Organic Lager, which has a slightly boosted alcohol content(listed at 5%) than the typical. The food is standard pub food, but we enjoy the fish and chips nonetheless. They even offer a Kid’s Menu, and as long as they include chips(that’s French Fries for us Yanks), it’s always good to go for my daughter. The prices are very reasonable for St John’s Wood in particular, and London in general. This is a comfortable place, and our regular hang out.

Ok so this is a Sam Smiths pub. Now that we have that out of the way, the Ordnance is a top notch place to enjoy some tasty beers in a super relaxed and friendly setting. Two huge pluses of this Sam Smiths pub: affordable pints and no music, so you can enjoy the company of those you are with, or meet some new friends. The pub sits on a quiet corner in a great neighborhood, and has plenty of seating inside and out. There is also a fireplace, which is very pleasant on a colder evening. Recommendations: export stout, taddy lager. Avoid: the food. Not Sam Smiths forte.

I will be spending more time in St John’s Wood, so glad to find a proper Samuel Smith Pub! I had a great afternoon and a few pints. It is a great layout with nice outdoor tables as well. I did not have food, but the menu and plates served looked good. John

Great pub for some different drinks. Every item is produced by the Samuel Smith brewery, including German style lagers, wheat beer and various types of whiskies. Friendly and helpful landlord who proactively invites customers to try a sip of any of the draughts before they buy. Recommended for a different experience nestled in wealthy, leafy part of St John’s Wood.
