My favorite pub in St. John’s wood. Now, given I was a regular here while growing up and living abroad in London, this is still a great pub. The pub staff is wonderful, and the owner is the sweetest. You can enjoy your pint outside rain or shine(because they cover the whole outdoor area when it rains) and if your feeling peckish, grab a pizza, or some mozzarella sticks. The food is simple but cooked well and good finger food to share with friends. If your in the area, and want to sit down for a pint, you can’t beat. Worth noting as well if you come on a Friday or Saturday night, there are probably going to be a lot of american kids from the American School.

This is an authentic pub, steps from St Johns Wood high street and worth the walk. It is populated with locals and a good stop for a pint.

Stopped in the Star when I was in St. John’s Wood, but mostly for nostalgia purposes. A friend of mine had gone to the American School and when another mutual friend was in London, we did a little tour of the places he would go, and took pictures along the way. This was his local watering hole, so we stopped in for a few Pints. We talked to the owner who our friend knew and shared a few laughs. Very nice place, but I wouldn’t go out there just for this pub.

A great little pub just down the street from historic RAK Studios. The bands that are staying and recording nearby usually make this there temporary local. It is even seen in The Arctic Monkeys video Teddy Picker:

This was the local for the students of the American School in London when I went there. Pretty decent place, has great outdoor seating for nice days.
