Novikov

This restaurant has an Asian and Italian restaurants within it. I tried the Italian.
The setting is very pretty and elegant. The service is also excellent.
The food is also well above average and very fresh.
During lunch, they have a 2, 3, and 4 course options (two is plenty)
Prices are surprisingly much less than you would expect from such an upper end restaurant, especially at such a location. (50 pounds for two people, no alcohol).
I walk by this place at night and their bar area is a very happening spot in town.

Great venue… Went to the Asian fusion restaurant then downstairs to the bar afterwards… Great for large groups…

Best Asian Fusion in London. I’ve been to many pan-​Asian restaurants like Buddha Bar, Hakkasan etc. Novikov stands out with everything from the freshness of the food (in a open market!!), great services (knowledge about each dish and flavour) and the taste of dishes (most important!). I tried dim sum, Mali rolls and grilled food which are all excellent. Strongly recommended the tempura roll (incredibly crispy), frog legs and black truffle scallop. Definitely will come back.

It’s a good restaurant for Instagram … Yes I took lot pretty pictures but almost forgot the food. But for real, food is great, the bar, Italian, Asian. casual or date, All in ! The Italian one ‘s ushers is so pretty…

Usually go to the lounge area for drinks, decent drinks in a fun atmosphere with really good music. Can be a bit of a hassle on the door to get in, but that depends on what time you arrive and the ratio of your group.

I have not been to the Asian part of the restaurant but the Italian one is good, plain good not excellent. Truffle Pizza and Carpaccio are nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Risotto arrived cold and Breem although cleaned afore served was full of spines!
The mango tiramisu comes in a small glass, more in line with a casual café than with a classy restaurant.
Finally the bar is nothing to get worked for, it’s just expensive and full of mean looking bouncers.
The very high prices were not justified at all you will be surrounded by people trying to show that they have a lot of money! Mostly visitors from Middle East and Russia with more money than taste!

Excellent food but always crowded, try the black cod and the fried squid it’s delicious, one off the best in london

I could write a book on Novikov, as I am one of its more affectionate guests and return customers. So one might wonder why I gave it three stars instead of taking my next Tinder date on it #TreatTheBaesRight
Who knows, really. This place has great food, both in the italian section and the asian section, which is why I return all the time. Yes of course it’s pricey, but you know this going in. Their sea bass and bream are always outstanding, as are the lamb and all the raw entrees, the wine list is extensive and the wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Also, the desserts are Jesus, and I never use this word lightly.
So back to the three stars. For me, it’s the people, the sleazy bar downstairs (though the music is cool and I shake my booty like JLO’s spirit animal), the bevy of call girls, mannerless tourists, baby blue Ferraris out front and above-​the-​muscle saline boobs. It makes this experience cheap for me, and I hate it cause they have this one passion fruit dessert that is the panty dropper of desserts if there ever was one.

I have always followed the motto of not judging a book by its cover, so I tried to walk into the double decker restaurant tabula rasa.
I was met by stoney-​faced Russians who clearly had a problem with me being unsure whose name the reservation was under. As I was meeting at least two people, I couldn’t be sure, so I tried a few. This was met with a: «You don’t know who you are eating with?» Unappreciated.
Moving on… once we were seated (I think the hostess was surprised when my party materialized), the Italian room exudes opulence, albeit in a nouveau riche, Vegas-​esque way. The open kitchen with buffet displays of food reminded me of the Carnival Cruise I went on when I was 17. The Italian theme was conveyed through walls with wrought iron grate accents, a ceiling of airy beams, and rustic wooden seating. The service was actually quite fast, no nonsense, and helpful.
The food was good– my thin spirally pasta with rabbit ragout was filling and had the right ratio of cheap pasta to rich gamey sauce. They didn’t skimp on quality, but for what they are charging, the quality should be fan-​effing-​tastic. The cheese and truffle pizza was thin, flavorful, and delicious.
Apparently the restauranteer’s ‘Novikov’ is the place to see and be seen which is apparent by the clientele, which is suited, glammed up, and ready to take in all that Novikov has to offer. More power to them.

Food was really nice, staff were really good, little bit too loud but really enjoyed it!

Loved this place! Went for champagne with friends in there lounge on the bottom floor. Amazing feel and décor. And fantastic service!

With mixed feelings I am giving this place a 3-​star rating. I was almost about to give only 2 and that is not for the lack of food quality.
We went to this place with some colleagues after a training based on a recommendation and in the end I left the place with a bitter sweet taste due to the hole in my wallet.
So to be fair, the food was pretty excellent. We had fantastic sashimi, great fish with some turmeric seasoning as well as some really good sushi rolls. Our wine was pretty delicious as well. However what really did not sit well with me was the price. I know it is London and yes things are expensive here but no dinner in the world is worth 120 pounds per person. And we had not been really asked by the staff what we were looking to spend and/​or eat, I know they are salesmen and want to give us a good time and make good money. But in the end the price-​value ratio was really not worth it.
The ambience of the place I would rate as ok but not particularly great either to be quite honest. So all in all, I probably wouldn’t come here again but if you have infinite funds and want to be spoiled maybe this is not the worst place to go.

Amazing food, brilliant atmosphere and the food is delicious. Slightly over priced but worth the money. Would definitely return.

I’ve been to both the Italian and Asian parts. Love how enjoyable the Italian side is for hangouts. However I prefer the Asian side for the food.
Love the spicy edamame while waiting for our food and the sushi is great, amazing noodles too.
Great food over all in both sides. Hate the service.

It’s good but I found the food in the Asian part a little too salty, the miso is too big and metal spoons really?
Otherwise sushi is fresh!

I am putting 3 stars because of the lovely atmosphere! I went here for a friends birthday and we has reservations for the Asian side however we were a bit late and they could only fit us in for the Italian side. I ordered gnocci and it was not anything special, and not really even good. Don’t order it. My friends seemed to have great meals though! We had alot of fun at the bar downstairs but the rules are strict, be careful and don’t think that you can get too wild, even if you ordered the biggest bottle of vodka in the place.
I think it may have been better if we had gotten to try the Asian cuisine.

I’ve been here for the Italian food and lounge downstairs. It’s definitely a very busy, hip place to be but the service isn’t very good, the food is a hit or miss depending what you order, but the drinks are always good.
For the Italian dinner I’ve had the beef tartare, the white pizza, langoustines with garlic, and Bronzino cooked in foil with clams which weren’t bad but not amazing. 2 dishes that were really good were the Pappardelle with Bolognese and the Whole Bronzino cooked incrusted with salt. The sauce and pasta were very fresh and the fish was cooked to perfection unlike the Bronzino cooked in foil.
Overall I like the scene and the food is ok. Next time I’ll have to try the Asian side.

Nice ambient good for big groups, love the roast lamb dish and the fresh juices. Don’t forget to order the mèrang cake

Very beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen that is separated by a glass. the design of the restaurant is beautiful and would be a great date spot. However… the food is salty. Everyone at the table agreed. The dim sum… not the best i’ve had… the only thing that was good was the fried rice unfortunately.
I expected more. Yes it’s expensive. but if it’s good~ it’s always worth it… hmm but this place. not so good~

If restaurants were actresses then Novikov would be Lindsay Lohan. Spectacular start, bit wobbly after a few years then the cracks start to appear.
It’s de rigeur for most London restaurants to bolt on an ‘In-​crowd Lounge’ At Novikovs particular incarnation the experience you will have is directly proportional to the time of day. Heading in to the weekend and late in to the night the Lounge gets very busy. I have always been here in a crowd and post midnight. Nod to the wise… would not recommend it for loners or couples as some of the ‘regular ladies’ can get a bit intrusive to say the least. If you are a celeb spotter then you can chance upon quite a few familiar faces in the rooms or the lounge, EPL faces are regularly seen here.
Never had a bad meal in either the Asian or Italian rooms here and I should think not based on the price they charge. My personal preference is the Asian side as the staff there are not as arsey as the Italian room.
One thing for sure, you will have an experience here every time. ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ on if that will be good or bad, hence the 3*

A short while ago, we went to Novikov Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was great in the evening, the food was amazing and the service was satisfying but unfortunately, it is highly overprized.
