I was wondering what all the hype is about when my husband said this was one of his favorite clubs. As soon as I took the first sip of my first cocktail, I could relate to his fondness. Brilliant Tiki cocktails served in glasses you would want to see in your bar at home(which they do sell by the way!). I tried almost all the cocktails(it was a long night), so it’s too much of a blur to remember which one was my favorite, but I loved most of them. Good music, good vibe, good crowd. Try and be there a little early if you want to get sipping slowly on the cocktails before before you hit the floor.

A Tuesday favourite spot for my and my team after a long day at work. The tapas dinners and cocktails never fail to impress and cheer me. What I love about this place is the chilled atmosphere and playful music. Launching area with the entire Hawaiian tiki bar themed club makes it a good scape place during those cold winter months. The dinner parties have included barbecue ribs, sweet potato fries, mini burgers, spring rolls, Nacho chips, buffalo wings and much more. I cannot complain too much of the quality of the food as I never pay for it(thanks to my job). The mix of 80s hits and your mandatory Justin Beiber songs makes it a fun and not too serious place to end a day. The convenient location on the rather hip Dover street in Mayfair makes it an easy spot to come across. Best on a Tuesday. I recommend the piña coladas.

Went to Mahiki last Wednesday with my friends. Not as good as Mahiki Mondays but still a fun night. As good as it ever was and the cocktails are incredible. If you’ve not yet tried a treasure chest you’re in for a treat. The downstairs area isn’t always open in weeknights but there’s still lots of fun to be had in the upstairs area.

We had a table in the back for a large group. Overall, good music and decent crowd, but the staff kept coming through the area where we were. I lost count of how many times I was gently moved aside by a staff member who was walking by…

Mahiki is hands down my favorite club/lounge in London. The island tiki vibe, fun pop music, and intimate space makes it for a very fun night. I have been on several occasions, but my favorite nights are Mahiki Mondays, because where else can you have a poppin’ Monday night? Highly recommend for a fun night out clubbing. Would suggest ladies to dress up in heels however since it is a nicer place than your local pub, and the men should definitely not wear sneakers, dress shoes are preferred or the bouncers may not let you in.

Very famous central London club, just round the corner from Green Park tube station. I have been here a couple of times and it is just OK. Never tried the food but tried various cocktails. The cocktails are without a doubt fun — expensive — but fun. They are beautifully presented and don’t have the pretentious vibe of many clubs/cocktail bars in London. However, the club itself is a bit — dare I say it — dated? A lot of it looked a bit tired and like it needed a major reboot. Also it is nowhere near as trendy as it once was, so you’re unlikely to spot celebs or Made in Chelsea starlets here. I’d say give it a go if you enjoy clubbing but definitely not a favourite of mine.

So this place is very crammed, as expected in any club. However, I felt the low ceiling make you feel even more crammed! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The music wasn’t great but it really depends on what you like to dance to. The cocktails are yummy but extremely expensive. We also ordered the treasure box which was really fun and yummy and everyone enjoyed. The club as an ground floor and a basement floor. The music they play in each floor is different so there is somewhat variety. The music was more house music I would say but it varied and I don’t think the DJ did a great job with transitioning from one song to another. We had a good night out but it wouldn’t be a place I would go to again. I think there is a hype about this place that it def doesn’t live up to.

College guy trying to have a fun time in london? Dont come to this place unless you want to be bossed around by some fat ugly bouncers, pay a fortune for terrible drinks with almost no alcohol, and sweat your balls off.

Remember that time Greg took the extremely overpriced drink away for taking a breath of fresh air from the overpriced club? And then he wouldn’t let me back in because I didn’t get my hand stamped on the way out, although none of my female friends had stamps either? We do. Thanks Greg.

Absolutely love this place, from Saturday its my favourite club in London, just in from of the Ritz so. expensive and you have to be in the guest list: 14 £/, if you want to book a table you would pay 700£. The best: atmosphere, young people drinks, music and location

Hit a pub instead and avoid this place like the plague. Manager John was your typical arrogant manager who has no clue about running a hospitality venue. This place is tacky and not worth the time to get on the list let alone spend any money. Just go somewhere else, trust me.

Really 3.5 stars. I had a lot of fun and the lower nightclub section is awesome but I have to dock it down because my drink was AWFUL and my friends were having a lot of trouble with the waitress and credit card machine. On the menu, it said my drink was going to taste like bananas but it was just terrible. It tasted like cough medicine and was sooooo expensive. I could barely drink it and just felt horrid about the money I spent on it. When my friends were checking out with the waitress, the machine couldnt read their cards and it took them a half an hour to get it settled. I had a really fun night but there was just a lot of hiccups. I guess I’d come back but I wouldn’t order any drinks.

For drinks and dancing this place crushes it! The upstairs is more of a lounge where you can buy specialty drinks and various punchbowls called treasure chests for ½ of the prices found downstairs in the club. I suggest going upstairs first for pre game and then dive into the downstairs club to show off you dance moves. DJ takes requests so be sure to put in a few to keep busting moves all bight long

When my friend told me it was a restaurant that turns into a nightclub I really didn’t know what to expect. So when I come in there was 2 levels. The mid section which was the restaurant and then the lower section with was the bottle service. It’s very dim inside but you can see the tacky Hawaiian décor everywhere. The waiters were dressed and pirates and the the girls dressed in bright aqua Hawaiian dresses. We came in at 9:45 and they’d told us kitchen would close at 10pm so we have roughly 10 min to order. It was 8 of us girls to we ordered the large sampler appetizer platter, the Hawaiian pizza, 28 day aged steak and a salad. We wanted to order more but the waiter said it would be enough for all of us. The food came out and we all looked at each other like this is not going to enough of all of us and begins fighting and being little vultures lol. The food wasn’t even all that great. I had just a couple bites. I feel like the alcohol menu bigger than the food menu itself. So after we finish they led us downstairs to the bottle service. I was thinking okay maybe it’ll be better, but it wasn’t. It was the same music they were playing in the restaurant which was a mix of everything(pop, r&b, oldies, alternative). And we were the only group there. The ceiling was super low. I believe anyone over 6ft had to bend their knees or sit down. But we stayed for an hour. After 12:30 we decided to go home. As we were walking up we see that the restaurant was way more cracking than downstairs.

A lot of fun. I celebrated my 20th birthday there one of my mates worked as a promoted, and so got us free entry, free drinks etc but the treasure chests are quality and the Hawaiian style cocktails are good banter too. A little small and underground so a little hot and sticky but a great night nonetheless.

Rock Lobsta is an interesting creation, one that almost works, but isn’t quite there. Let’s start with the widest portion, which was pre-meal(we’re starting from the beginning here). I wanted to go with a friend so went to make a reservation online. There, right on the front of the site, is a form: name, email, telephone, what day you want to come, how many people, etc. Cool, filled it out and waited for a response. I got one almost right away. It was an email stating: «Thanks for showing some love to Rock Lobsta. Just to let you know we’re only taking reservations by phone so please give us a shout there. Klack Klack.» What? Why did I just fill out that form. So I called them and made the reservation. No problem. And then, problem. The night before the meal, they called me to confirm… at 10pm at night! My conversation went like this: «Hello?» “Hi, it’s Rock Lobsta calling to confirm your reservation tomorrow.” «What? Why are you calling me?» «…To confirm.» «No, I know, but why at this late at night?» «Oh, because this is when we’re confirming.» Fine, I’m confirmed. Let’s go onto the meal. Mahiki is a little slice of Hawaii, here in Mayfair. Palm trees, dark wood, tiki décor, the works. It’s gigantic! Multiple floors filled with tables, bars, dance floors and more. Way bigger than it looks from the narrow entranceway off the street. When I arrived, a hostess showed me downstairs and asked me if I had been here before. Nope. She then handed me off to another waitress to bring me to my table, who asked me if I’d been here before. Um, still no. I was sat in a booth and my night’s actual waitress came over to drop off the menu and, I kid you not, ask if I’d been here before. At this point, I almost felt like I was on a reality television show. Like cameras had been filming my entire experience. So the food is good. Good but not great. We were told right off the bat that they serve Cornish lobster instead of Canaidan lobster, so you can’t get a full or half-lobster yet since they’re not big enough. We got the lobster roll, the K-Pop Chicken Roll and the lobster corndogs. Surprisingly, the standout was the chicken roll — tasty, messy, yum. The lobster roll was only OK. Tasty but small with very little meat and just as expensive as Burger and Lobster. Disappointing. And the lobster corndogs were neat(and came with two different dipping sauces) but you got two medium corndogs for about £7 and it was mostly dough around a little bit of lobster. Again, disappointing. We chatted with the manager about the spot and she was nice enough to bring us out a free dessert — a strawberry sundae which felt almost like strawberry shortcake in an in an ice cream glass. Ice cream, strawberry syrup and strawberries and delicious pie-crust cookie bits throughout. Tasty but again, nothing that had blown my mind as a dessert. Basic sweet sundae. I did like that they kept local sauces though on the table, like from The Rib Man. That’s a nice touch. I learned it’s from the same team who did Rotary Diner, which is so surprising, because I love Rotary and just gave them a great review(but there too, I also loved the chicken sandwich.) Just overall, disappointing food with the strangest service I’ve ever had.

I think Mahinki is absolutely brilliant! Baring in mind you have to be in the right mood to be here, but when you are its so much fun! The cocktails are amazing and you can get a piña colada one which comes in a pineapple! the music is also great!

I guess this is a hip place to go to ? I don’t understand the tacky Hawaiian décor, but there was a long line outside and the crowd consisted of relatively good looking young professionals. In any case, I don’t understand London clubs yet. Mahiki makes everything I know about clubbing(largely west-coast California style) seem backwards.

Don’t bother booking a party here … you’ll only get half your guests in — the others will be waiting in the cold and only the women will be allowed in… even if that event is a graduation party … and common sense would suggest that everyone parties together. Add to that a pinch, actually why stop with a pinch, a whole handful of extremely pretentious door service from a Justin Bieber look-a-like with way too much time on his hands to work on his attitude. Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have found the secret recipe for a disaster waiting to happen for you, your friends and whoever comes to this club. From now on the only perception I will have of the club and people who frequent this will be: embarrassing, pretentious and overall flaky disappointments. Not happy Jan, not happy at all.

I don’t have a huge experience of clubs so I won’t be able to compare with other in London but just describe my experience there. A friend of mine book a table for his birthday last year. We arrive quite early and get in without problem. It was still quite and we order some snacks with our first drink and wait for the ambiance to start. They have nice choice of cocktails, quite exotic and really well presented in big glasses with fresh fruits excessively dispatched around. They have also cocktails for groups they served in a treasure chest with long straw that everyone can drink in at the same time ! Kitsh and really funny when you party ! The club has a hawaiIan/lost island/exotic athmosphere and the waiter are dressed a bit like Johnny Depp on the Pirates of the Carribean ! At least you won’t miss them ! The music doesn“t have anything really special, mostly from the 80’s with just what people know and are used to listen so the get in good mood to dance. They have a dance floor that open later, before midnight. People who come here are bankers and as read below chicks, nothing special then it’s just a nice place if you come with your pal.
