I eat breakfast at La Torre every time I’m in London(second time eating here this week). The full English is incredible and consistent. Ben is one in a million. Highly recommend checking it out.

I am so tempted to give this place 5 stars, for the simple sandwich shop it is just wonderful. Such friendly staff and reasonable prices. A huge selection of sandwiches, bagels, toasties, paninis and hot food on their wall tempting you to be adventurous with the variety of fillings! I also like this place because of the seating, the have a high bench by the window that you can sit at and stare out at the world or tourists and workers of covent garden who pass you by. It’s fantastic people watching.

The La Torre crew are so welcoming I just had to go back. I resisted the sensational sandwiches and opted for lasagne with salad and sat at the window bench watching the rain whilst talking to cool dude Sascha and Laura N. The lasagne was ok, discerningly edible, but it doesn’t make my top five lasagnes ever. La Torre is certainly a go to café and I happily bestow them an extra star, for great service, buzzy atmosphere and consistent food. My tip: Don’t be swayed away from the sensational ciabattas, paninis and sandwiches.

Who invited Fall to London? Cause my soggy toes, cold bones, broken brelly and frizzy hair would have liked a heads up. I’ve always hated surprise parties. I mean, seriously. It came on like, well, a storm… Anyway, it was nearing on 2pm and finding lunch was quickly transitioning from a craving to a desire to a full on stomach rumbling necessity. Oh, but the weather! And we’re not talkin’ NW showers here.(Prior to my move to London I thought«blustery» was some sort of cool treat from Dairy Queen. Not so much…) But guess what? La Torre is right next door to our office, so minimal outdoor exposure. La Torre is cheap, so minimal cash loss. La Torre is tasty, so maximum tummy happiness La Torre is exceedingly friendly, and I need a little light on dreary days like today. All in all, I think I’ll be coming back on a regular basis, even if it’s not blustery outside. I just can’t fight the feeling. (5 stars if «blusteries» were actually served.)
