I used to only go to Hoo Hing’s to buy my food in bulk but one day we were hungry and opted to try out the cafeteria upstairs, and i’m glad we did. This is probably some of the best Chinese in London, and is most definitely the best priced. The menu consists of about 30 items ranging from soups, to won-tons, from dumplings to roast duck, and ALL of it is delicious. The food is all really simple and fresh and most dishes consist of Meat, Bok Choy and rice or noodles so if you’re looking for a ton of spice or in your face flavour then this may not be the place for you. But if you like simple complimentary flavours with fresh ingredients then try here. Since trying the food there a month ago we’ve eaten there five times and we live on the other side of London so you can tell we think it’s really worth it. I would recommend trying the Roast Duck and Pork with rice and the Char Sui Bau or Prawn Har-Gow(depending on which you prefer). The staff there don’t speak much English but they are very polite and so is the manager who is fluent. I usually end up filling myself up and taking it home(they box it for me) Since eating here we’ve stopped ordering takeout Chinese completely, so give it a try!

This café inside the Hoo Hing oriental supermarket serves a selection of dim sum, and simple rice and noodle dishes such as roast duck and roast pork over rice or as noodle soup. It’s fairly hidden away so even on a Saturday lunch time, when the queue at wing yip could be an hour long, there are plenty of tables here.
