Generally hit or miss with quality, I’ve had some take away from here that has been great and others where the fish has been so fatty it’s had to be either fed to the dogs(literally) or thrown in the bin. They’re usually fairly speedy with the delivery times now days, but for what you get, it is fairly over priced. If you order online they have a strict ‘minimum £18 spend’ which is pretty annoying because a lot of the time — unless ordering with friends — you end up with more than you really wanted or can eat. One plus is that you can sign up to their ‘loyalty’ scheme online, and earn points with each order. These add up pretty quickly so you can save a few ££ with your next take away.

I was nervous about coming here as it always seems empty, but I swung by here for takeaway and had no problems with the service — I was greeted less than a minute after walking in and given a menu to peruse. As soon as I made my decision and walked up to place my order, the waitress stopped what she was doing to talk to me. I ordered the chirashi donburi and… It was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. The fish all tasted good — I just wish there was a bit more — but the rice(and there was a lot of it!) was rather clumpy and stuck together, and not in a way that made me feel like it was meant to be… in a way that made me feel like they skimped on the sauce, if you know what I mean. I did like the sweet shrimp and the salmon. There was only one piece of tuna and at least 2 pieces of everything else, so I wish I had more tuna… but overall it was good, and definitely a place I’d return to. I can’t decide if it’s pricey or not because Im horrible at understanding sushi prices. I paid about £10.25 for a bowl of rice, 3 teeny little shrimp and 5 pieces of fish. You tell me if that’s normal. Either way, I’ll return — where else can I get sushi in the area?

Better than average and the food is always fresh… I like the atmosphere and a very attentive waiter! Good variety and well balanced menu. Don’t be put off if it looks quite; the food won’t disappoint!

Second visit here. May update my star rating at a later date, as the sushi itself is pretty good, but the service is definitely in the 1* range. On first visit we joked that it can’t take that long to ‘cook’ … On this visit(doing takeaway) I timed a shocking 10min of being blatantly ignored at the door. After the first 5min I helped myself to a menu and started gesturing my annoyance. Still took another 5min to actually get acknowledged. On both visits there has only been one person serving the whole restaurant, so no wonder it’s impossible to be served in a timely fashion… even with no queue.

Great little Japanese restaurant. The sushi is made to order and of high quality. The Restuarant is very clean and looks reasonable new. There’s a strong focus on local and seasonal produce and also an obvious focus on being a place for vegetarians to enjoy lots on offer. The service was very friendly and best of all if your local they deliver. This little gem is open late most night so is a great option for shift workers.
