a warm and welcoming gallery that has a good number of exhibits on show with two levels that will keep you engaged and occupied… it’s a relaxed venue with thought provoking artworks which makes it a must stop art gallery along your art crawl around the area… the venue is reasonable in size and is suitable for groups… they constantly change the captivating artworks which keeps you coming back. would i go back? i always do… :)

Espacio is one of my favourite places in London. It has an ever-changing array of artworks, from Paintings, to Sculptures, to Found Object Art, to convincing 6’foot Aussie guys to wear makeup on International Womens’ Day as Concept Art. It has a really welcoming vibe, the artists are always there for First Thursdays, and they often have to push us out the door so that they can close up when we visit them!

This is a really nice gallery with a lot of potential for something great. I came here to see a friend’s work exhibited as part of a group show. You’d just about walk past the gallery as it kind of gets lost in the bigger and brighter shops around it. Don’t. Stop in. The walls are bright white with nothing to distract from the art hanging there. It seems like the one room is it until you get to the other side and find a staircase to another basement section. Also worth checking out. Also also there’s a bare downstairs, so… This gallery is a co-op owned by a ton of artists, which I like a lot. A great space to display some great local art.

This space is great! The windows in the front are huge and really invite you inside. The space is deep and not narrow at all with a lot of natural light from the large windows in the front. Plus, the high ceilings and window in the back add to the feeling of space. The best thing about this gallery, however, is the downstairs bit. It duplicates the ground floor feeling of space and light but with no natural light at all. And, they’ve put the bar down there so during an opening, when you usually can’t get people to go down the stairs to save your life, that’s where the party’s at. Husband wants to open a gallery of his own and if he does this would be the one I’d like him to emulate. Great vibe from the neighbourhood and artist owned(co-op of 100 artists); can’t get better than that.
