When i was in London the last time we stayed i Shoreditch at Hoxton Hotel.
One night we found this odd place. We sat down in a very old sofa in the back and had several beers and Jack shots, it was a great night!
Its a small place, a bit rough. Especially the bathroom, i was something you cant imagine.
The bar is a 4 star, but the bathroom is –1 star.

After walking up and down brick lane twice on a saturday night, I wasn’t content with ANY of the bars, they were all taken over and POURING out too many condescending loud hipster kids. but then after getting to the END of the bar strip I questioned an exploration into Benny’s bar (the downstairs bar portion of Austin Gallery) which was one of those places I had always been curious about, but I was never sure if it was a bar, and if it was open to the public, or if i was cool enough to get in.
I was QUICKLY rewarded for my adventurous expedition. The bar didn’t have very many patrons, which I was grateful for b/​c the bar staff was so friendly and attentive, they listened to all our stories and kept a conversation with us.
the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in the house of a really cool friend. with art on the walls, and an outside patio in the back that had graffitti art on the walls, and chairs and tables made from recycled products, I felt like benny’s bar was the right choice to drag my group into.
I didn’t get a drink, but my friends had more than a few Beers called Crocodile. The cost being £3.10 for all beers. Not TOO pricey for shoreditch, but not the cheapest either. But still worth it for the honor of being in the bar.

I’ve been here a couple times now, and yay, I’m a fan. You may like or dislike the place depending on what you’re looking for.
The coffee may not be the best coffee in London, but it’s definitely fair and cheap. It’s got a small space, random couches/​sofas spread out, and freeeee wifi. I’m always really comfy here, to just hang out with a friend and have some good convo’s or chill on my laptop for an hour or two. Beer garden is pretty cool, and the downstairs gallery (where the bathroom is) is a bit strangely random and completely different to the vibe upstairs but I’ll consider it a cool factor.
