My first time here I didn’t know what to expect. I knew they sold amazing milkshakes, had a variety of activities and was a mix of shop, café, and bar. This sounded like it would be my dream venue, turns out that it was! First off, check the website and find an event/activity that interests you. You can build Lego’s, colour pictures, make things, etc. There’s always something different and fun to do. Most are free or cheap as well. This makes for a great first date place as it gives you something to do together and prevents any awkward silences. I’ve had some of the food here and enjoyed it all. The downstairs bar hosts events as well where they make a mean cocktail. It’s a former sex shop, which you’re reminded of when you go down the steps where the former sign still stands. Can’t fault this place for much, you can even buy some unique stationary and sweets on the way out!

Super cute shop/restaurant! All the people who work there are super nice. We celebrated our birthdays and got even a special birthday card. If you can’t finish you get a doggy bag! AND there are glitters in the bilini()!

Go through the door and you will enter a shop filled with crafty type things and brightly coloured wrapping paper and candles. Upstairs is a café area and down is more of a bar area that turns into a club area later on. I came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago as they are on Drinki; the free drink you get is called Fresh Prince, gin, elderflower, processco and mint. I also opted for one of their delcious cakes, there is a huge selection and they all look amazing. Whilst we were here one of the staff members told us about the brunch they offer, every Sunday they offer bottomless processco, Bloody Marys and bagels for 2 hours for a reasonable £15. I came back on Sunday, didn’t take part in the full offer after over doing it the night before but I tried one of their bagels — Salmon and Cream cheese and it was amazing, so tasty with a twist of beetroot. They also have a huge selection of board games you can play whilst you there. I will definitely be back to take full advantage of this again.

Want a fun night out with drinks and a souvenir to take home? Fancy a bit of arts and crafts then look no further! This place after dark comes the special workshop where you can learn to do a craft while getting drunk if that’s your thing… However if you’re doing the screen printing workshop using the Sharp knife then I say go slow on the cocktail! Zeena the tutor was very good, and passionate about her art, really encouraging and for a novice I feel like I can draw anything lol… Did my signature pug design and I think if I keep this up I can open my own shop soon with all the crafts I’m learning on the way. Venue is small so book quickly. £18.70 for either a design on tea towel or tote bag.

My friends and I showed up for our Beyonce dance class without realising that the class had been cancelled a few hours ago. We were pretty annoyed at first but that changed pretty quick when we were offered a cocktail on the house and to have a class moved dates or refunded. I was so surprised I had never been to Drink, Shop, Do before. I loved the atmosphere and the vibe. The staff were really nice. The chick serving us even told us how to get another free cocktail by downloading an app. All around us people were drawing on mugs and since then I can’t stop googling the upcoming events Drink, Shop, Do are having so I can come back!!!

Looking for somewhere quirky and fun? Somewhere for a different date or a night out with the girls? Try Drink, Shop, Do. We went as a group of 18 girls and one guy and had such a fun evening. The wine was good, the cheeseboard had some really creamy and delicious cheese and, although it didn’t have enough crackers, they did bring us some more when we asked. The night we went the activity was making Lionel Richie’s face out of clay. Not your average night out but it was even more fun than imagined and we had such a laugh. We then spent the rest of the night in the bar downstairs. The music improved as the night went on and we were all up on the dance floor. Look out for the button on the back wall. When the music stops, if you press the button first, you get a free beer. It’s a bit tricky if you’re 5ft ½in like me as it’s pretty high up but there is a stool. Just don’t climb on the shelf as apparently it’s not safe! We didn’t actually look at the shop bit of Drink, Shop, Do but the drinking and doing were fun. I’ll be back for one of their other fun sessions.

Quirky place in a part of kings cross that gets better every day. This could be the girliest bar I’ve ever been to. Lovely people and fun décor. It took me a while to realise as it began to fill up that I really was going to be the only man there. As I sipped my pink cocktail and gazed at the red velvet cake the ladies kept coming in and clearly love this place, it’s very relaxed and the drinks are great. It seems like the sort of place that changes character as the evening wears on so I don’t know about later but for an early Friday evening drink it was a good start to the night

Finally made it to this sweet café for a blog event yesterday after hearing good things. The shop front looks small but café goes deep in to the back where there is even a small private room where our event was being held. The main café area is colourful, bright and well lit thanks to the sky light. I had a slice of the red velvet cake which was absolutely divine! The various crafts/activities that take place here are also varied and well worth checking out Lionel Rich-tea anyone?

This is a really cool place full of hipsters and slightly expensive drinks. We went for one of their Blue Light acoustic music nights. The music was really great. All the acts seemed to know each other, and we were probably one of the few groups there that was not in the circle. However, the performers and staff were all very nice. In terms of drinks, your cheapest best is a cider at about 5 pounds, cocktails were around 8. On weekends they have dance parties that are free before 10 and from there are 3 pounds for entry. They have a calendar full of events, for which I will almost certainly be returning.

This place is adorable. We popped in here after brunch for, you know, brunch dessert. CAKE! And tea, but mostly cake. The interior of this place is what I call hipster-cutesy, which I love. It’s twee and happy and I loved all the colors and eclectic vintage furnishings. This day, it was someone’s birthday, so they had huge party hats hanging from the ceiling as if they were floating, as well as other crafty signage and decorations. I was pretty into the branding. I had the red velvet, which as red velvet’s go, was pretty tasty. I tend to like a bit more cocoa in my red velvet’s, but there are several schools of thought on that, so I’ll save that argument for another time. But my point is, it was a huge piece of cake, it was delicious and the frosting was on point. My girlfriend got the rose pistachio raspberry, which was tart and peeeenk! Sorry, I get excited about girl things sometimes. I hit the loo at one point to be delighted by the«adult & erotica» neon and silver glitter selfie wall. Very unexpected. This place was charming, the staff was sweet and patient while we made the agonizing decision of what cake to have(there were like, nine cakes, you guys — all amazing options). I loved the calendar of classes and events… what a kooky, fun, unique space. Loved it!

My friend and I decided to go to Drink, Shop & Do on a Sunday before she got her train home from Kings X. Mainly persuaded by the photos of their cakes and the promise of board games, we got there about 1pm without a reservation and we were easily seated. The inside is really nice and bright with mismatched chairs and tables(some tables remind me of old school halls). We instantly decided to go for the weekday tea(sandwiches, piece of cake and a pot of tea) for a reasonable £15. We were both so impressed by the sandwiches — 3 each, open topped, toasted seeded bread, with delicious toppings(classic with a twist). We also got a choice of cake each and they also brought out two surprise ones. I can highly recommend their red velvet! Tea selections were also good with plenty in a pot! To finish we also both got a cocktail and were impressed with both(mine was rose/turkish delight — very good!). Overall we were there for nearly 3 hours playing games, eating and drinking. We weren’t rushed but also not ignored. Recommend giving yourself plenty of time on a Sunday to play all the games(scrabble, guess who, battle ships and more available). They also do lots of event during the week(Lionel rich tea decorating, musical bingo, lego robots, dance classes) some of which are free and some of which are not(£10−15) and then it also becomes more of a bar/club later in the evening. Really recommend this venue; always offers something different, definitely makes a memorable visit!

Oh heavens, may I move in please? I’ll be quiet as a church mouse, knitting and drinking in the corner! What a brilliant concept, this place! Drinks, craft bits and bobs, live music and events, and all in a bright and colourful space. The drinks are delicious and I really could spend every day there. Allowed perhaps? What if I sweep up at closing? One can dream…

So this place is delightful and A few things(I will outline below meant I didn’t give it 5 stars) So We booked for a hen do — sash making — which I wasn’t sure how they would do it, but it was good. Atmosphere: daytime it was open area with a skylight — very airy, think tea room meets café. They have a selection of cakes at the bar area, and the music is a bit retro and sometimes modern, but not loud enough to impose on your experience. Staff: Bit of a mix, some really friendly, some friendly but not helpful. Seems everyone is super helpful and keen, but i felt like there was a mild lack of communication between staff. Everyone doing their bits bot not talking to their colleagues. And this translated to timings, and it gave me a sense that i was being churned through the system. Activity: I really enjoyed this, and I was glad the staff member had time with me, I was really late, to support me, the selection of fabrics was great, but i felt like the fabrics and letters were all very much on brand of the place, it didn’t really give me much freedom if i’m honest to get outside the floral tastes. I went with the intention of making some garish and tacky, but essentially all of ours looked the same, they hard florals, and the stencils of hearts and flowers — and the nature of a hen do is that there is a mix of people — they didn’t really accommodate different tastes and styles in their resources. Timing: I thought this was off, I felt like the place hadn’t really thought of the timing of the tea/cake activity. It appeared out of nowhere in the middle, and we had to make room, rather than the staff. Then we had to ask for tea… yes for the afternoon tea — after the cake had arrived. It felt like they’d dumped 2 activities on top of each other, and made the customers sort it all out. Food: the food was delightful! As a FODMAPFREE option — they had gluten free, However, the toppings were a bit dry — and we only got one scone, and the gluten free scone was tiny in comparison to the main one. Oh and the cream was definately no proper clotted/devon cream, and the jam was on the jelly side of jam — and if your scone/cream/jam isn’t top notch in your afternoon team — then what is the point? Summary — Great atmosphere — Great activity — Great food — inconsistent service — Felt like I was being churned through there timing, — Timings were all over the place — The afternoon tea cream and jam need replacing. — The resources need diversifying. I gave it 4 stars — so those little things are really just a few pointers, the bothered me., but probably don’t bother many other people(except ALL of us noted on the cream)

Cute and quirkiness in the heart of Kings Cross. Drink Shop and Do is a great spot for a cuppa or a cocktail. I love that they have arts and crafts classes! Try the cakes, they are bloomin’ marvellous!

Fun, quirky, amusing, well designed venue with a touch of ‘shabby chic’. Well made cocktails served by nice bar staff… all cleverly disguised as a shop, which stops it getting over crowded! Great place whether you want drinks as a couple, a larger group of if you fancy joining in the fun activities. I can vouch for the ‘Lionel Rich Tea’ experience… most amusing.

This place is amazing if you are looking for something a bit out of the ordinary to do! They run a programme of events every week from ‘Lionel Rich tea’ to Hip– Hop colouring in and loads in between. It’s great for Hen parties or random nights out. The venue itself is fairly small and looks quite unassuming from the outside. The tea shop is quaint and the place turns into a bar later on. Drinks are ok price wise but I’m not sure I would come here just for a night out. Overall its great if you are going to one of their events, well worth checking out!

I find this place a little… weird. Quirky? Is quirky a more positive framing of ‘weird’? Sure. Let’s say… quirky. But…I think that’s the point. It’s basically a hipster typographer’s dream-shoppe by day(think, out front: screen-printed tea towels, original cards, and little tchotchkes), with an bright open space for tea ’round back. Then, ’round witching hour… it turns all bar-y. And dance beats start a-thumpin’. I have nothing specifically strong to say one way or another about this. I like the music selection on Friday and Saturday nights — a lot of hip-pop, a lot of croon-able hits, a lot of things to whip your hair back and forth to — and there’s never too oppressively long a queue at the bar(Protip: get the drink in a pitcher — then you’re set). Bathrooms have more stalls than many venues, and are clean. Demographic varies, but is generally fun loving and down for group merging on the dance floor(show us your moves!). So yeah, free entry pre-10pm for the dancing. And some weird chocolates offered by an adorable woman at the door as you exit? I had been drinking so this just felt like THEBESTANDTHEWEIRDESTTHINGEVER, SIMULTANEOUSLY. Unilocal note: check out their schedule of activities online. SO! MANY! OPTIONS! See, in particular — BEYONCEDANCECLASSES #bowdown #queenBey

Love bringing friends here when I need a great place to meet for coffee. It’s quirky inside and the cakes are AMAZING! The Oreo or Malteaser Chocolate Cake are a must, and the Apple and Earl Grey was surprisingly delicious too. Taking a star off though as they add service charge, which I don’t think should be added for just coffee and cake… I usually leave a tip, but I don’t like it being added on presumptively.

Always a fun night here, but some of the worst cocktails ever recently. Just a dodgy trainee barman? Friendly crowd and well decorated interior with a tuck shop of sweets at the front — and the staff are lovely. You can reserve tables and the Friday night was free. They also host Beyonce dance classes occasionally, tho watch out for broken glass!

Penny sweets, perfect cocktails, quirky interior, decent DJ and a great crowd. Drink, Shop & Do has everything I could dare to hope for when looking for some late night booze and bopping. A good start is always important, and how to beat the opportunity to gorge oneself on sherbet flying saucers when one has barely taken a step inside? That’s what the charming shop entrance offers, with jars of enticing penny sweets lined up against the white walls brightened up with the colours of various products on sale. Yum. Go up the steps and you’ll find yourself in a bar with tables and chairs. My old-fashioned was delicious, and the crowd a friendly, relaxed bunch of late 20somethings and early 30somethings enjoying the hip hop music. Head down into the basement and you’ll find another bar, much the same crowd but with most floorspace for dancing. And indeed, that is another area where Drink, Shop & Do scores — the sensible admissions policy adopted on the evening we went resulted in space available to dance, rather than bob around cautiously on the spot for fear of inadvertently starting a fight as is too often the case elsewhere. The cocktails were again made with love and knowledge — really good. In all, I had a lot of fun here. It makes me want to return to check it out during the day, but from what I’ve seen so far, reckon that I’ll just be loving it all the more.

This lot take coffee seriously. We go here after lunch sometimes for a double espresso and I never leave feeling disappointed. The staff are always super friendly and seem to really know their stuff. Highlighting their expertise you can also buy coffee making equipment here, which to my unsophisticated eye appears pretty niche. There isn’t a great deal of seating and this certainly isn’t the somewhere you would sit with your laptop and do work but it has a real continental relaxed feel that renders this unimportant. They lose a star purely on the occasional delay in the time it takes for them to produce the coffee, lending a certain irony to their name. However, I’m pretty sure this is due to their meticulous preparation rather than laziness.

Absolutely love this place! It hasn’t changed — you still get great cocktails, great food and all amongst some creative craftiness! They still run a selection of great evenings, and the only downside is that usually it’s very busy here and it can be hard to find a table. Loving the mismatched china and retro furniture — although that spider still freaks me out a little too. Not sure why I rated this 3 stars before. I came back here after a time away and i felt a lovely little pang of homeliness and recalled fondness. A very much loved, Kings Cross, secret gem.

Had a really good night here on my birthday! Was a tad disappointed to find out the«area» I had reserved was in fact a section of the dancefloor with no seating, which was a bit uncomfortable earlier on in the night, but once the dancing really got started everyone had a great time. It’s well aimed at the late 20s crowd, playing a lot of hits from Ye Olde university days. Cocktails were really good too. I ordered a birthday cake which meant I didn’t have to put money behind the bar; the cake was massive and delicious and the staff kindly packed up what was leftover to take home. Would definitely recommend Drink, Shop & Dance for a fun night out.
