AVOIDATALLCOSTS! Rude and incompetent staff. Worst pool experience ever. Staff said it would be 20 mins wait for a table. We waited over 35 mins and no news whilst people who came in after us got a table. Staff member did not allow us to speak with management and then refused to return guest membership fee. Thieves! AVOID!

Great place to indulge in a little friendly competition. Pool, American Pool, Snooker, Poker and more. Drinks are reasonably and membership is okay at around £20. If not a member you’ll pay £3 per visit. Can get quite busy some nights due to either competition or pool/snooker clubs booking lots of tables.

Overall:4/5 If you’re looking for a no frills alternative venue to bring mates for a game and a drink then the hurricane rooms are for you. I’m a regular and like it there. Look/atmosphere: Caters for american, european pool and snooker also has a couple of poker tables to hire. You need to buzz in at the slightly dodgy looking entrance but don’t be afraid the interior looks nicer and more bar like! Is a standard old school snooker venue, quite dark dim lighting too. Has about 7 of each table available. Cues and tables are decent for non professionals and has a lot of regulars there too. Service: Can be very busy at peak times queueing for tables can be up to 10−15min but has small seating area. Drinks are cleared away regularly in the gaming areas too. Bar staff are nice. Price: Decent prices there, membership is about £20 per year and £3 entry per member and can bring 1 friend at that price.(has non member prices too) Tables are about £6.50-£7 per hour. Drinks are about £4 from memory. Food/Drinks: Small bar near entrance, has the regular drinks at a standard prices. Food is microwave meals not recommended,(eat before or after) but you are not here for the food.

Awesome place for a quality hangout spot. I like coming here with friends and shooting some pool or having a beer, but most of the times both. The tables are good and the service is quick enough. Recommended.

I came across this newly reopened club earlier in December when I joined some friends there for poker. We used to play poker at home earlier when all of us were single. But that’s not so now and so many of us prefer a venue out of home. The central location(its very close to the Kings Cross station) and the affordability of the Hurricane room makes it ideally suited for this purpose. One can rent a poker booth, which can seat 7 – 8 people, for just £2.50 per hour or for £10 per session(which i presume is for the whole evening). Although the seats are not very comfortable, the price makes it a steal. Each player has to pay £3 per day to play. But if we play here regularly enough then we shall all probably buy the £15 annual membership. If you end up losing too much at poker then there are other distractions. The Hurricane room has a number of snooker and British and American pool tables(can someone explain to me the difference) and also there’s televisions showing Premier League matches. It’s difficult to get bored here. The only downside that I have observed so far is that the price of the drinks is a bit on the higher side. A small Jack Daniel’s with Coke should not cost £5 at a place like this. But I am sure as I visit the Hurricane room more often, I shall find many more reasons to like it.
