Snappy service and attentive with the classic Byron menu. They were patient with my folks whose hearing isn’t good and the food arrived quickly. The wine was great and the food cooked well and to order with the portions just the right side of bigger. All in all a good service in a busy restaurant. Well done Byron!

My burger was served cold, with cold, under-cooked bacon and a salad smothered in sugary dressing. The cheese was some sort of soft cheddar, which had a cheap, processed cheese taste. The service was slow for the level of traffic in the restaurant, and I had to make eye contact and gesture to both receive a table and to order. They also got my order wrong, though to their credit did not charge me for an extra patty. A double set me back 12.50£, which is pretty expensive for a below-average burger.

I came here as part of a group of 7 on a Sunday evening, and we were seated promptly. Service was quick to pick up our orders, and the food and drinks came out in about 10 – 15 minutes. My friends ordered the milkshakes, which were thick, delicious, and could easily be split between two people. I ordered Byron’s signature burger(9.50), asked to be done medium well. The patty came out well-done, which meant the meat was much drier than expected. This didn’t go well with the bun, which was minimally toasted(that’s fine) but also dry and overall quite underwhelming. The Byron came with melted cheddar, bacon, red onions and shredded lettuce with their signature sauce. It was okay, but not worth almost 10 pounds. Tl;dr — Mediocre burgers, good shakes.

There are loads of Byrons in London, I love burgers and I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve gone to Byron. This one is very similar to all the others I’ve been to, and I’m giving it a very high review because of the quality of service I received. I ordered my food while on my way to Liverpool Street Station, and I did not have long to catch my train. I called to ask for a takeaway, specified the time that I wanted to pick my food up at, and sure enough, as I walked in the door, they were just bagging it up in time for me to pay and catch my train! And the burger was exactly what I wanted.

You’re ok Byron, you’re ok. But just ok I’m sorry but you’re not going to win any awards in my book, you’re very simple, not always a bad thing, but you’re this ain’t set the world alight standard. I’ve been meaning to try your opening in Manchester, but there’s just much better burger offerings in the North, being down in the Big City I didn’t immediately know what was around you so I thought ‘I’ve been meaning to, it’d be churlish to ignore’ and the previous day I’d done Red Dog Saloon so I couldn’t really go back there. The burgers are fine, the sides are fine, the beers good. Service is great, smiling people attentive yet not in your face, just right.

The location provided by Unilocal does not exist. The spot marked with Byron is the lobby of an office building. Update: as it turns out, the street address is correct, just Apple maps fails to show the correct location. Just turn around and cross the street, it’s located in a side alley. Burgers are quite good. Go for the skin chips, if you can.

Another great Byron restaurant, this one is superbly located in Spitalfields. Just great ! They also have a massive room downstairs, if you’re planing on having a party there…

My friend and I were finally meeting for a long overdue catch-up. It’s been a while since I visited Spitalfields and it sure has changed since the days I worked in the area. There are so many good looking restaurants to choose from, it was a real struggle to pick somewhere. Fortunately my friend, a little more familiar with the updates to the area, recommended Byron. We were greeted by a bubbly waitress welcoming us to Byron and asking how we were. She let us choose where to be seated and gave us the menu. My friend were so keen to hear all the news that we hadn’t even given the menu a glance by the time she came to take orders but she didn’t seem to mind. We decided the milkshakes sounded delicious but were wary of their size so asked to share an Oreo shake. No problem. She even offered to put it into two glasses. I hadn’t checked the reviews here which all give the classic the thumbs up, so I went for the Byron burger. I was not disappointed. It was juicy and the cheese and crispy bacon bashers went really well. My friend’s chilli burger was possibly overloaded with chillis but that’s down to personal preference. We made the right choice sharing sides — the portions are generous — but I’m please I tried the onion rings. Delicious! I only regret not getting the name of the waitress as she deserves extra credit.

The gold standard for burgers. I’ve been to a handful of locations around London, and each and every time it’s been absolute, delicious perfection. For me, it just doesn’t get any better than a Classic, medium rare. No need for cheese or anything else. The craft beers on hand also make for a pretty great pairing. I’m particularly fond of both the Byron IPA and BrewDog Punk IPA, the latter of which I tried for the first time today.

There’s really nothing better than a juicy, classic burger. Byron does a lovely burger to satisfy any red meat cravings — no complaints! The regular order of chips was quite a surprise. Had I known it was going to be such an overwhelming portion, I would have shared with a friend. Regardless, I ate them all. :D

Since they first opened this location, I’ve come back many times to enjoy a delicious bit of meat. Their burgers are so good, and come in a small variety of options(including a new lamb burger and a vegetarian option of a grilled Portabello mushroom. The burgers do not come with chips/fries, but you can choose from 3 primary options: standard, skin-on chips, or courgette fries(for a slightly healthier, although deep-fried, option). My favourite burger is the Byron, with extra-crispy bacon(being as an American who cannot abide back bacon’s fatty texture) and adding sliced avocados. Divine! Don’t forget to treat yourself to either a glass of wine or a beer(including brews from the nearby Brew Dog Brewery).

A fantastic afternoon experience marred only by the fact that I went with a massive hangover… But that was entirely my own fault. Ordered the Byron burger with the patty cooked rare, which is a difficult feat to do, but they pulled it off perfectly. The burger also didn’t suffer from the age old problem of falling apart because of over filling. This burger was very packed full of goodness inside, yet everything managed to stay inside the bun for the duration of my eating it. Amazing! Add to that a side of fries and onion rings to share and it was enough that we couldn’t actually finish everything. We might have if I was feeling a bit better, but I digress. Bonus points also awarded for the waitress who was very friendly, attentive and looked just like Penny from The Big Bang Theory(who I harbour a special kind of love for).

This casual sit-down burger joint had a great, lively vibe to it(while not being too loud), and the whole staff gave us smiles throughout the duration of our meal. my dining partner and i both ordered Cheese, their traditional cheeseburger: one with american cheese, the other with emmenthal(swiss) cheese. she ordered an oreo shake and a side of courgette(zucchini — i’m starting to realize that the words within the parentheses are simply the american term for the same object) fries, while i ordered a can of familiar A&W root beer and a side of regular fries. while they indicated that the patty would be cooked medium, it was a bit past well-done by the time it was served to me: it lacked the juiciness i crave in any burger that i enjoy eating. consequently, the main source of moisture i got from the burger was from the melted cheese. on the upside, the bun was perfectly toasted, and the lettuce and fairly thin-sliced tomato was just the right proportion to the rest of the burger. given my dining partner’s love of this burger joint, and given that she comes here often, i’m giving the benefit of the doubt and assumed that they were just off with my burger. Byron seems pretty intent on opening new locations, and this is definitely a nice addition to the Spitalfields area, as there are very few, if any, other casual burger joints in the vicinity. 3 stars on the food, 1 star on the excellent service.

I came here for the first time by chance with friends while looking for a place serving dinner late at night. We each got a different burger, and there’s certainly options for people with different needs(regular, veggie, chicken, etc). The burgers were overall delicious and the meat was definitely good quality. I highly, highly recommend their courgette fries(zucchini). They were thin, perfectly fried, and so good we ordered two portions! Our waiter was really amiable and our food was served quickly, so we definitely enjoyed our time at Byron. My only complaint would be that the four beers he recommended us were all total misses(Sierra Nevada, Ska Modus Hoperandi IPA, Brewdog Dead Pony Club Pale Ale, and Byron Pale Ale). Perhaps it comes down to personal taste preference, but we certainly weren’t fans of these. I recommend visiting Byron at night, as opposed to the afternoon when there are throngs of individuals working in the area fighting for a table. Around dinnertime things quiet down and it’s a lot more peaceful and less stressful. All in all, Byron is a pretty decent place for a burger, and if you’re in the area hop on in for a try!
