Love the ambience here. The Boxpark is very modern and retro. Bukowski is a must stop for a meal. I had their full rack of pork ribs and it was amazing. The meat was soft and tender. It easily pulled off the bone. The BBQ sauce was perfect not too sweet not spicy at all and just an amazing taste. I also had their chili cheese fries and I love chili cheese fries and theirs was very good. I only wished there were more chili but other than that YUM! The chef/owner came out to say hello and chat with us a bit. He was very nice! Good food! It’s a must!

So I thought I give Bukowski a go if i was ever around the area the boxpark area. So got here just as it opened, so luckily wasn’t so busy. Quite a small venue, cosy, but decorated well to emphasise a good burger joint. Too bad they don’t serve hot drinks. So I ordered the smokey beast,(everything smoked) and the pulled pork burger. They were quite decent, unfortunately East London has become such a hot spot for these kind of pop up ventures, that the standards have gone up so high. Don’t get me wrong, these were good burgers, but it didn’t excite me, like others I have been. It wasn’t dry, and tons of fillings, but I can’t put my finger on it, maybe taste, or the flavour of the pork. But its all subjective. The chips could have been better though, tasted a bit stale. The service was good and really friendly and the food came very quick. So thumbs up to that.

Oh man how i love the burgers here! I was pleasantly surprised to start at the Boxpark, having not been here since it opened shop, by the cool atmosphere, outdoor seating, lighting, and, most importantly, heat lamps. The guy who helped us out with our order was super friendly and my brazilian burger with fried egg and my bf’s californian burger with bacon was so super delicious. Although i did not want any beer or wine offered at bukowski, i was able to head over to cotton’s rum bar down on the other end of the boxcar to get some cocktails. And that hot sauce… warning: dont have any if yo can’t take the spice, cuz the stuff is legit. Wasn’t too crazy about the thick cut, not crispy and fairly bland fries but with the aioli and hot sauce, it was great. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent and original burgers for more than reasonable prices. Great coleslaw for cheap. The fries were a bit off though. Cool service!

We went here for weekday lunch and we got their £6.50 pulled pork burger. It’s a bit small but it was really delicious and juicy. If you’re a fan of pulled pork and you’re in the area for a quick bite in the sun, this is the place to go!

I was coming back from Dalston and supposed to meet Matt R in Shoreditch High Street and to be honest, it was the last thing I wanted to do at that point. I was tired. I was limping after messing up my ankle. I was covered in dirt and longing for a bath. But I dragged myself off the train because I’d promised. I wasn’t looking forward to it though. Boy, am I glad I did. This is the best burger I have EVER had in my 25 years of life. And I’ve had a LOT of burgers. I had a cheeseburger and chips, with their homemade tomato sauce, mayonnaise and a glass of homemade lemonade and if there could be one meal I have for the rest of my life, it’d be this one. WOW. The chips were crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and huge. The tomato sauce was slightly spicy and fresh — no ketchup from the bottle here! The mayonnaise had flecks of seasoning in it and was the best mayo I’ve ever tasted. And the burger! Oh, the burger. Massive, juicy, covered in strong cheese with salad chopped enough that you didn’t pull half the filling out in one bite, all on a soft bun. Oh MAN. I want another one right now. The lemonade was also incredible. You can definitely tell it’s homemade. Just the right amount of sweet to tart and I needed it at that point. I arrived thinking it’d be something I’d have to just wolf my way through so I could get home, and I ended up chilling on the first floor of Boxpark in the beautiful weather for an hour with the best meal I’ve ever had. I’m so happy with life right now. Try it for yourselves!

We had some fantastic burgers and fries at this place. Quick service that was quite alright. I had the cheeseburger that was really yummy. The veggi one was also quite ok. Especially the onion like sauce on the veggi burger was amazing. Will go again! Seating on the deck seems to be a bit chaotic though.

Had the beef short ribs and wow for the price you pay you get a great portion and the meat is cooked perfectly. Some weird thin onion fries on the side but the mayo and salt for meat adds to it a lot. Really impressed guys. I know they have one nearer me in Shoreditch but next time I’m in Brixton I will venture down for more of the menu at the original branch. Good beer too. I had the Green Daemon Helles.

Just had a superb cheeseburger from this establishment. Tasty, sizeable and a proper meal in and of itself. Great stuff!

Bukowski Grill is found in Shoreditch and Brixton offering up charcoal grilled burgers! New to London, we are discovering where to find somewhere that offers originality and a product thats great value for money. We came across box park in Shoreditch, where all the eateries and stalls are in shipping containers. We actually chose to eat here because the smell coming from the kitchen was just alluring. The menu isn’t long, which tbh is a good thing because it means what they produce should be made really well with little faults. Because I only eat free-range chicken I went with the chicken burger, as I found its rare to find free-range chicken on the places I have visited so far in London. If you order a beef burger, they ask how you want it cooked! MR is the way to go and all served on brioche buns. If you are a feign for hot chips — these are the ones you want to try. Thrice cooked chips! They were amazing. I have nothing to fault with them. They were so cripsy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside, and chunky. — Dream fries right there. Bukowski all serve free homemade condiments which actually makes a difference to eating your generic bottled sauces. The service was efficient and quick, but it was a week night and quite quiet, so can’t guarantee the same service on the weekend. I highly recommend Bukowski if your craving that burger and fries that won’t disappoint. Damn, that was a good burger! The meat was cooked and flavored just right! I added BBQ sauce to it and that was a great idea! The seating is shared– everyone is seated on 3 long picnic tables.

Triple fried in beef dripping chips… seriously… need I say more… Upon returning to the area and here a few years after it opened and finding everything still deliciously amazing, I thought I would update you… Get off that chair, you’re about to have yourself an artery busting culinary treat… and run there… Go on, go, go, go…

I don’t really like boxpark. I mean, it’s full of nice places and it must be really cool during summer(well, whatever«summer» means in England!) but in the winter you can’t really sit outside and places are a bit too tiny to find a free spot in any of them! But then… there is food! and just next to falafelicious(check it out, the best falafel in eastern london!) bukowski grill is standing there, a bit hidden in the shadows… Just head there and remember to ask for a table(there will be none!) and then sit outside waiting for somebody to finish while enjoying a beer. That’s the first good impression: english beers which are actually not bad, not bad at all! awesome! As soon as a table is freed, sit inside and enjoy your burger: meat is just perfect(even if my rare burger came out medium… aaaaaaahh I wanna cry, I want raw meat!!!) and the burger is terrific! Then you have sides, good fries and an awesome coleslaw, everything served with something special: homemade sauces! Yes you read well: HOMEMADESAUCES folks! how many burger places you know of where they actually serve HOMEMADE sauces?! damn! they are SOO good! Soo… Few places where to sit, nice beers. AWESOME burgers and HOMEMADE(Yes, I will never be too tired to tell it, HOMEMADE!!) sauces! head to it!

I think I died and went to burger heaven. I was craving a burger and the £10 Fat Gringo was exactly what I needed to satisfy my fat gringita cravings. Candied bacon, medium rare patties, cheese, spicy jalapeño mustard(SOGOOD but don’t rub your eye…), pickle, lettuce, tomatoes, onions between a firm brioche bun made me so happy I texted my friends about my burger revelation. Don’t you hate it when buns are gross and soggy and can’t hold up their meaty companion? This bun was the complete opposite. Paradigm of bun perfection. Beef dripping fries were an extra £1.75 and completed the meal. It’s all served in a metal pan. There isn’t much seating inside, but you can take your food outside too. So much better than Byron’s.

I stopped there with a friend as we were so starved and we just loved the place. Boxpark is very great. I ordered the wild burger: cheese, onions, mushrooms, truffle oil(or something), rare meat and it was a blast! The fries were very good too. I’m not a pro concerning burgers in UK but I’ve found it very delicious.

I stopped here for a quick bite to eat before heading to Unilocal Book Group. It’s located upstairs at the boxpark outside Shoreditch High Street. The menu looked great, so I thought it would be an ideal place to go! I ordered the special burger. Mushrooms with truffle mayo! Sounded delicious. They asked how I wanted it cooked, and I ordered it medium rare. I also ordered the chips and a meantime lager. I do enjoy the fact they sell local beer, and meantime is always delicious. So the burger came. The mayo was great. The mushrooms were awesome as well. Unfortunately it was cooked well done. Quite a difference from the way I ordered it. The chips are amazing. Seriously. They serve it with homemade mayo which is great as well. If I’m in the area and need a quick bite, I might go back. It wasn’t the best burger in London, that’s for sure, but it’s fairly reasonable and a good option for the area.

A great place for burgers in the Shoreditch area. Meat is becoming more and more serious business in the area, and generally, the burgers here are great. The chips are what I really come here for. The burgers are good, but no where close to the outstanding nature of the chips. Triple cooked in the beef fat from the burgers, it’s easy to see why they’re exceedingly tasty. Obviously, they’re not as good for you, but c’mon, if you’re ordering chips, why would you care how healthy they are for you anyway. I’ve been fortunate to have both the pulled pork, the daily burger and the purist. And I’ll have to say, good, but not as good as Honest Burger.

I was in Shoreditch and bumped into an old friend. We grabbed some lunch in the box park! This place is unique! Its a shopping centre with some cool restaurants but the best thing, the whole thing is made from old shipping containers! Definately somewhere to have a look round if you’re ever in the area. We ate at Bukowski which was really nice. The burgers were really good. I had the Purist which was a plain version of their burger. It was a great size and didn’t leave me with that bloated feeling at the end of it All round a really cool place to go and eat in very cool surroundings!
