This lounge is a bit nicer than the other business BA lounge located upstairs. Seemed to be a bit less crowded with a bit more seating. Would come to this lounge over the other one in the future.

Very cool lounge relaxing seating very comfortable plenty of snacks clean bathroom and free wifi. They have wine at all hours and booze of course plus a wide variety of teas and coffees and soft drinks. They have warm and cold food a variety of soups fruits and all the snacks necessary chips and dried fruit pretzels cookies and peanuts. They have freshly baked pain au chocolat and croissants for breakfast and bacon rolls all quite good. Highly recommended for long layovers really worth it.

sehr großzügig gestaltete Lounge im Nordflügel (im Südflügel ist auch ein) des Terminal 5. Kurze EIngangskontrolle und schon ist man in der sehr mordernen Lounge, welche auch eine «Aussenterasse» innerhalb des Terminals hat.
Ist zuweilen sehr voll, aber man findet immer né Ecke, ohne den NAchbarn auf dem Schoß zu haben. Tja, Essen ist typisch «britisch»; relativ öliges Indian Food und morgen einemal die Toastpalette hoch und runter.
Klar punktet sie bei den (alkoholischen) Getränken: fast nichts, was es nicht gibt! Sehr netten Weinschrank.
Ich fühl mich wohl hier :)

What not to like about this lounge! Spacious seatings, plenty of snacks, beverages and alcoholic drinks. Espresso machines can be upgraded but oh well.
Breakfast offers fruit, egg sandwiches, oatmeal and various cereals and yogurt.
Shower has long wait in the morning when many intercontinental flights arrive, so if you want to take a shower, put your name on the waiting list before even getting a seat.
BA inflight food/​seating is not worth the business class fare but the lounge makes up this mediocre inflight offering.

Ziemlich groß und trotzdem leider immer sehr überfüllt. Das Essen ist von der Auswahl und Qualität eher unterdurchschnittlich.

The place is really nice but need a renovation! No big service inside most of the features are auto service!
Comfortable and good variety in food!
Toilets are clean enough for a busy place.
The siting area have free WiFi and you can charge your phone, they have plugs compatible with most of the countries, and that is a Plus!
I give only 3 stars because not much service offered in the place.

First time in a BA lounge. I like it! We usually go to Admirals Club since that is our membership. But today we flew Business class on BA so we get to go to their lounge.
They have a good selection of Danish pasties, cereals and my favorite Chocolate croissants. Their coffee bar is good. For those that like wine and alcoholic beverages, they have it too and it’s free ! And there is no limit. It’s self serve.
I am impressed.

Food selection doesn’t seem to change but lots of light, when there is light. Plenty of seating in different areas/​spaces. Staff is friendly as they usually are on BA. Very nicely maintained toilets with room for your luggage, too. Doesn’t rank as highly as some Asian business lounges, like the Cathay Pacific lounge in HK, but one of the best in the West.

This is a very bustling place compared to the American Airline’s Admirals Clubs. Once you get past the hot food item counter and beverage stations at the front, you can finally relax and unwind. They offer almost anything you can imagine — chips, sandwiches, pastries, and beverages including wine, all free.
The space is divided into 3 sections — a café-​like setting with sofa chairs in a separate room that makes you feel like your outdoors when you’re really not, a bar/​pub-​like setting in the middle, and a office-​like setting complete with a business center at the other end. There were plug outlets here and there.
The restroom facilities are very nice and boasted private individual bath rooms rather than stalls, complete with a basin in each one.

Gute, große Lounge, leider immer etwas voll. Das WIFI funktioniert einwandfrei, das Passwort ist «lasvegas» Was toll ist, dass man umsonst Duschen kann, nach einem langen Flug ist das eine Wohltat, das essen ist okay und das Getränkeangebot auch.

I must say that the only reason they are getting 3 Stars is because of,
1). Very Polite Crew
2). Arrived in UK on time and back to SFO on time
They could have received 4+ stars if they updated their planes. It felt like I was flying in a jet from the mid 80’s and it probably was. British Airways needs to look at Emirates who is now setting the standard in aviation maintenance and customer service. Cathay Pacific is another airline that has a winning formula.
What they need to correct,
1). Airfare prices are higher than competitors
2). They use American Airlines to fly passengers to major hubs in the USA but they do not time the flights properly leaving no time to get luggage transferred from the American flight to the BA flight. Yes, I arrived in the UK but my luggage remained in Chicago O’Hare. They missed the transfer window.
3). Install USB chargers on their planes and gates
4). Offer a better variety of meals on the menu. At least a beef, chicken or veggie option
Next time I travel to the UK, I will pick a different airline.

South lounge is huge, can get jam packed at times, but has a wide variety of snacks, food and drinks that will satisfy any traveler.
Walk around a bit to find a quiet spot. WiFi is free and speedy, no issues connecting to the web and browsing quickly.
Coffee machines offer a selection of coffees to perk up the tired traveller.
Showers, papers, magazines… You name it, they’ve got it.

I always say it that BA has one of the best in flight services. There lounge is a proof that they can also make it as good on the ground Beautiful views of the airport strip with a great selection of drinks (alcoholic or not) and acceptable food (compared to the other business lounges i have been). Great selection of reading material and enough space so you can calm down before your flight.

Nothing short of excellent! Endless amounts of food, drink, reading material, enough to cater to many different tastes.
Lots of room too and as an obvious result the place can get packed depending on time of day. With that said, I’m not sure why people are complaining about this since you’re definitely much better off than being in the main area outside of the lounge. But in all my visits in the past five years I’ve NEVER had an issue finding a nice seating spot. Also, keep in mind that BA offers a couple of lounges in the main T5, along with some additional (and quieter ones) in T5b or T5c.
There’s wi-​fi, power outlets to charge your electronic devices, there are showers and nice spacious bathrooms. I can’t think of anything that’s missing here especially if you compare the lounge to some of the North American ones.
A great place to sit back, relax and wait for your flight. During times where airlines seem to be charging for almost everything and charging more too, I think we should be pretty thankful for this option.
P. S. On a side note, can’t we fix the lounge’s name to show British Airways rather than ‘British Air’??? What the!!!

When flying on American Airlines and have Platinum status, you have the choice between the AA lounge in terminal 3 or the BA lounge in terminal 5. Overall the BA lounge has more to offer, but it is much more crowded.

We flew from the T5 terminal Heathrow and were granted access to the business lounge.
The lounge is massive and so many people (too many people for my taste). Luckily we found a cozy place and seated ourselves until we left. There were plenty of food options (as soon as the food was brought out and served) and lots of drink choices, even some bubblie.
I got myself some salad and cheese with some fruit juices and the food was excellent.
If you have the chance take the opportunity and book yourself into the T5 Business lounge.

You know I’m getting spoiled rotten when I rate any complimentary airport lounge as only 4 stars. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, snacks, wifi, business services, comfy chairs, cappuccino machine, magazines, newspapers etc. All are complimentary and lovely. In addition, the clean and spacious bathrooms really help to refresh between long flights.
However, I would recommend a couple of things to make it 5 star.
— do some reupholstering and cleaning of the chairs/​sofas. These gets so much use that from one visit to the next, the wear is visible.
— provide a little more options for ‘dark & quiet space’. The natural light is great in the lounge, but would be nice to have options for those weird journeys that totally mess up your internal clock.
— add more and more outlets. Can never have enough.
Tip: check the flight monitor for the daily wifi password

Spacious, comfortable, and filled with all the amenities you could reasonably want to weather an unexpected delay. (Now if only I could succeed in ignoring those yahoos behind me with the southern accents who won’t stop yakking about seceding from the union now that the election’s over. Guess I can’t blame that on BA, huh?)
