Bacon Street Project

I walked into this shop just off Brick Lane and wanted to walk straight out again but I felt a bit rude doing that so I stayed and walked around for a bit. They stock a variety of different new designers, but there wasn’t anything I wanted to try on, much less buy. A lot of it was the kind of stuff you find at Camden Market, the kind of stuff that is designed by people who take magic mushrooms for inspiration. The problem with this is that in Camden, lots of people go shopping whilst under the influence, not so in Brick Lane because if you come home high with a jumper made of string and glow sticks, the likelihood is that it cost more than your months rent and is definitely non refundable.
Some of the t-​shirts here were quite cool and there were some beautiful silk dresses but it’s all a bit overpriced. As it’s not mass produced, this is bound to be the case but there are other, cheaper, nicer options in the immediate area.
