Great Greek restaurant — the food is excellent, portions sizes are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Its become my go to for greek food.

Have passed this place on the bus every week during my commute and finally went and tried it with a few friends. We went on a random weeknight when they had there dinner special that was an appetizer and an entrée for £10. Two of my friends had the halloumi, another had the dolmades, and I had the hummus, all of which were a generous portion and tasted great. We ordered the chicken kebab and the keftedes for dinner. Both were delicious and the portions were massive. After all of that food and two bottles of wine it cost us each less than £20 for dinner and the owner/chef gave us the best baklava I have ever had on the house. We definitely did not leave hungry.

I’m giving one star as a courtesy. Very bad service and the cuisine is not really good, they even charged us £10 more, I guess they do that sometimes to tourist as they don’t show a detailed bill. But we double checked with the menu and found out they charged us £10 more and asked for a refund. If you are looking for a place to eat in Camden, do yourself a favour and stay away from this one!

A friend and I went to Alexander The Great when I was in London and asked him to go to some place near his home in Camden Town. He suggested this place as something small and good, and overall, it’s just a no-frills place to have a set-lunch. It wasn’t very busy during lunch, and it’s about a block away from the main drag. We had their lunch menu, which was standard with an appetizer and entrée. I ordered the halloumi, but it wasn’t too great. The bread was fresh and tasted great. The entrée, however, was delicious I got mixed kebab and it was very very flavorful and delicious, definitely a stand-out. Overall, Alexander The Great is an adequate place to have lunch if you find yourself in Camden Town. It wasn’t amazing or anything, but I’ve had worse Greek food!

This little beauty is tucked away down a side street off noisy Camden High Street and could easily be missed. It has a grand and authentic feel to it. I went with a big party of people and the staff coped impecably. Having said that, it is just as suited to couples and the atmosphere isn’t noisy. The Greek food on offer is delicious and the interior is superb.
