Can’t knock the quality of food here. This place has plenty of competition and they do well. The quality is great as well as the prices. My only critiicsm is the seating. Hard plastic seats that can be quite cold to sit on, and if near the door, can also be very draughty. I’m afraid they can’t make a decent cup of tea!

The first two things to judge fish and chips by is the quality of the fish and the quality of the batter, and on both of these this place does hit the spot — with tasty, flaky fish and perfectly crunchy batter. The price is right too, with a deal for large fish and chips, mushy peas, bread, tea and dessert for under £7. The menu has quite a lot of variety with several types of fish on offer, but it was a shame our waitress couldn’t really describe the differences between these. But with good fish and chips right by the harbour and the beach you can’t really complain!
