Quaint country pub with a wonderful roaring fire to greet and very friendly and accommodating staff. Due to only recently taking over the pub a few things weren’t available or were in process; the staff were very apologetic about this, although I did feel they were being a little hard on themselves given the recent transition. The food(sea bass with Cajun veg) was reasonably priced and good quality; not your average pub grub as such, but not overly pretentious or overpriced. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. If I lived closer this would definitely be my local!

The Swan Hotel is a hotel, pub and restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic and well worth the money. There is a restaurant upstairs which has a set menu but is slightly more expensive than the bar meals downstairs. At lunch time there is a carvery which has some really tasty dishes, not just joints of meat but there are home made pie dishes and pork in mushroom sauce and many other dishes to chose from. You can have two courses for £5.99 which may have gone up I haven’t been over the last few weeks but the desserts are also delicious. I especially enjoy the plum crumble with custard but there are lots of choices. It is nice to go at lunch time if you have the chance and is very warm and cosy. The waitresses are dressed in complete waitressing outfits and really know what they are talking about when they describe the food. I love it there!
