This place is quite plain and small, but the menu offers a lot of options. The service is fast, unless you order either a small fish or a «special» (which is a bigger fish), and the portions are generous.
Given that I work near here, I got used to eat fish and chips every friday. I haven’t tried many fish and chips shops till now, but my collegues told me that this is one of the best in town. And they are right! The fish is good, damned good. For less than a fiver you can have a huge haddock with countless chips. Honestly I couldn’t say anything about all the other choices in the menu because I stick to it and I am not willing to try anything else!
Of course you can have scraps for free and add salt and vinegar while they wrap your meal, but if you want a sauce you have to pay for that: add less than one pound for a big curry pot (or mushy peas if you prefer) and you’re done! Go for a smaller pot for 45p if you prefer, but it won’t be enough…
Anyway, this shop is not in a posh area of Leeds, but if you end up in Wortley or Armley don’t miss it.

Fast service, good size portions, reasonable prices.
