The Aviary

I had taken some of my family to Jephson Gardens. It had started raining so we stopped for a drink at The Aviary. It is small in there but it’s clean and nice. We all had a hot drink. I’d say the prices were about average for the area. The service was friendly and the drinks were nice. I’m not sure what more I can say about it. It’s just a nice little coffee shop in a lovely space.

The Aviary is a tiny little coffee shop in the middle of Jephson Gardens. Presumably it used to be an Aviary — it is certainly ‘old’, with iron lattice work and old tile floor. To seat, it does only fit a few people in, but the real pleasure is to sit at an outside table and enjoy the gardens while you have your coffee. It’s very much a ‘no frills’ kind of place, the coffee is not necessarily the best cup in town, but it comes at a great place and in a great setting.
