This bar is horrible, after around 8pm it becomes so packed with people that they spill onto the pavement blocking anyone from passing by.
I’ve eaten and drank here on a couple of occasions and it’s really nothing to phone home about. Every meal seemed to pair chips with something you really don’t want chips with and the drinks were disgustingly expensive.

Went for lunch today with my partner and his daughters and boyfriend. The specials board wasn’t really special but that’s the only gripe I’ve got. I had the glamorgan veggie burger — lovely and in a warm ciabatta rather than a bog standard bread roll. The chips were lovely and chunky and had a great colour to them.
Good prices and you get a lot for your money — we were all stuffed. Definately recommend it and would go again :)

Nice atmosphere on a night out down prinny ave. Drinks are not the cheapest but drinks aren’t in this area! The food is also pretty good! Love the décor. Bar staff could be a little more friendly.

most dissappointed with my visit to Dukes yesterday, my food was ok, but my husbands and my friends was awful, they had a pie that looked like cat food with awful pastry on top that disintegrated as soon as they touched it and my husband was ill all night after eating it. To top it off the waitress was incredibly rude, she just threw the food onto the table and had a right attitude problem when I asked for some ketchup, it was overpriced and not good at all, infact it ruined our night, my advice is… DON’T GO THERE!

The coffee’s are amazingly frothy and the food is nice with a good choice. Music could do to be a bit quiter though.

The first time I ate here was wasn’t that impressed but this time they seem to have upped the ante, I had a burger and chips the burger was home made and by golly it was delicious it has just been refurbished but I haven’t been yet so hopefully it will still be as good

I have been here twice; once to see what it was like and I have no idea why the second time, because the first time was terrible.
The drinks are shockingly over priced it is laughable. For some reason the first time I went the whole place smelt of raw meat, which was nice
Both times i have been the place has been messy and the tables looked unattended with glasses scattered around, even though it was quiet.

Dukes was the second café bar to come to the area after pave and had certainly stood the test of time. they do really nice hearty food. and a very nice selection. gorgeous cakes, puddings and hot chocolates. and a lovely atmosphere for evening drinking too. the staff are always friendly and accomodating.
