This place is slightly better than the other bars down Princes avenue, mainly because it isn’t pretentious. On the downside, the Linnet & Lark is frequented by the ‘Meatheads’ or dare I say it; the Racist, homophobic, sexist, football-loving, violent & drunk fringe of Princes avenue. They clearly hate the fact that the LnL owners are trying to re-brand themselves as a music venue. I had it once where me and a friend sat down at a free table. Within a couple of minutes we had a group come over and threaten us off the table because it was«theirs». Yes, we were forcibly removed from our seats by what I can only describe as the neo-nazi Addams family. We had watched that table be free for some time before we claimed it.

With all the other places around here this is the last one I would frequent. The place is dirty and the customers unwelcoming try the other café bars around here!!!

dirty, sticky and full of violent meat heads, I now avoid this place. Shame really as the staff are super friendly and there’s quite some good live music from local bands played.

I like Linnet(as it’s more comonly known) as it more appeals to me than some other pubs in Hull. It is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks and is a large pub with several seating areas, pool table, smoking room and beer garden out front. It also hosts the main live sporting events, Wednesday is quiz night where i think you have the chance to win a gallon of beer, and is home to the famous Sesh — showing the local talent every Tuesday.

Linnet and Lark is a good pub for a night out or a gig or quiz night. its not quite as classy as the other bars in the area but isnt necessarily aiming at the same clientele. the drinks arent cheap and it can often be quite rowdy, especially when the football is on.
