Nice beach, just right opposite from the Cardwell Garden Centre. The views are nice, and breathtaking.
Even they have the brilliant free car parking facilities.

I used to come here quite a lot and it is a lovely sandy beach (the closest to Glasgow!) with beautiful views. There are picnic facilities and toilets. It’s just off the A770 and easy to find. Part of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park and looked after by their staff. You can follow the coastal path from here to Inverkip which is a nice walk.

Lovely place to visit anytime of year, but make sure and wrap up warm. Was a regular haunt for me and my sister when we were younger with some nice walks, beach and a park. Is a good place to go for a nice day out, with the added free benefit which is useful with credit crunch looming. Is also a nearby garden centre which is worth a look round especially at christmas
