Grays Harvester

I’m a big harvester fan and i have eaten in many different harvesters. This harvester seems to be under staffed with often long waits because they can not operate to full capacity because of low numbers of staff.
Staff seem to be less professional than some of the other harvesters i have been to. I have not had a problem with their food, apart from the odd harvester burger now known as Cheese burger is often over flame grilled and simply tastes of burnt ashes.
I have been 4 times now and on two of those occasions it taken over 30 minutes to even be asked for drinks or to order. it’s not difficult to simply employ staff harvester has good customer demand.
other than that it has a nice log fire, although in winter months is still unbearably cold due to no double glazing.

I only visited this restaurant once which was yesterday but I wont be going back, it was the early bird special so was very cheap but not so cheerful. The salad bar was poorly stocked & was messy. My main meal was overcooked & dry chicken & chips. Both my kids refused to eat their pasta meals as they were cold. Whilst I was there 2 other tables were complaining about their food. The only saving grace was the friendly staff although they were understaffed & rushed off their feet. Wont bother again, would have got more value for money at Mccdonalds. Had to visit the toilets — all soap had run out as had the toilet toll. A roll of kitchen paper was left in there to dry your hands.

Harvester is located near North Stifford, near the Chafford Hundred Sainsburys. If you are driving from Grays, unfortunately you cannot cut across the road to get to the restaurant, you have to go to the roundabout at the end of the road and come back on yourself. They have a private car park next to the restaurant, where you can always get a space. Last time I came to this restaurant I was not impressed by the speed of the server or the rudeness of him. I am so glad that we gave this restaurant another chance, as we really enjoyed our visit this time. As soon as we came through the door, we were seated, our server was then very attentive and friendly, we had come to eat as we had seen the Early Bird Special, this was a certain menu of food which is usually on the main menu, but before 6.30pm is a lot cheaper. The food was delicous and there was lots of it, I would definately go back again. It just shows you how a member of staff can make a difference.
