I am a fan of Starbucks. It is my «go-to» coffee shop. However, this is by far my least favourite location that I will always avoid. The shop is always mobbed with the queue right up to the door, and there are never any tables to sit at due to the fact there are always selfish students or business folk taking up a full table with their laptop — that look like they haven’t moved from that spot within a week and a half. The customer service is mediocre — every time I have gone in, there is a female barista who I always recognise, that looks at me like the plague. They act too fast and rushed, and don’t even bother to give you a smile or actually make eye contact with you. The baristas behind the machine always look stressed and your drink ends up getting mixed up in the queue, which means people before you in the line will usually get their drink first. This just results in everyone standing about for ages looking puzzled, because they don’t know where their drink is.

I’m updated my review. This Starbucks I spend a fortune in. I drink around 6 cups a day, 7 days a week. One of the Staff asked me 2 days ago. «Are you going to the VIP gold member night that is 7−9pm?» I found out you had to be registered and Starbucks only send out 150 invites that maybe 1⁄3 will turn up. I was gutted. Kerry told Isabelle the Manager, she came over to me and said. «You’re invited tonight» I said I never had a pass. She said you’re still invited. She really made my day. The Gold-member night was great. It was Isabelle who organised it. As soon as everyone walked in on the red carpet lol we were greeted by smiles, not just from staff here but a lovely wee lassie who use to work here. The former area manager was here too, she was lovely, and the current area manager, big boss woman was here too, she was lovely too. Along with loads of staff from all other Starbucks. We were all given a cocktail glass on arrival. I thought it was Black Russian when I seen the Vodka and kaluha. It was actually vodka kaluha and strong coffee. That was it. It put a spring in my step. They had stations set up with cakes and nibbles. Staff walking around with salads, cakes etc. they even gave tuition on how to make drinks with the fancy design on top. I failed a sit kept sinking:(there were balloons the lot. I even made a wee friend here too:) there was a mix of different ages and background who came. Everyone I chatted too was nice. All the staff were lovely. Esp the cool guy with the piercings. The Guy from Lithuania is a gem, and Kerry nod Viccy. And not to forget Isabelle again. I was looking out for the lovely Ann and Lyndsey, they were not there:(the smiling Bridget was here with her smiles. They had a guy playing the guitar and a girl singing. They also were walking around getting everyone to sign a green apron. I signed and drew round my hand on it lol. They also had a guy with a SLR camera taking pictures of the even. It really was a great experience, and all the staff deserve applause. Even the ones I keep forgetting the names of sorry. Few days before Kerry and the Manager Ann gave me hot chocolate on the house as I spend a fortune there, it made me laugh as the cream was deliberately made as high as a cone:) I’d give them 500 stars if I could. Thanks I forgot to mention. I loved the sandwiches and the goodie bag had loads in it. Thanks:)

It’s hardly ever that I choose a starbucks over any other local coffee shop, but my boyfriend and I received as part of our christmas gifts from my parents, a gift card with a rather large amount on it so we figured we should probably start using it. We were on our way to a concert and decided to stop for quick coffee and a chat. I would typically by the flavoured over the top whip cream covered drink and he always orders a white coffee, but trying to cut back on overindulgence, we both decided for just a filter coffee with a splash of milk. The staff were friendly as they usually are and because it was just a filter coffee, they didn’t ask our names. We got our coffee, added some milk and found some cozy seats near a window. I think the company we hold makes an experience so much better because everything was perfect in that moment. We both had our coffees, a bit bitter to start, but once we took a few sips, it was really good. We sent a picture to my mom of our coffee experience and a wee thank you again for the card, sat and chatted about our day and we were off. This particular starbucks is always slammed, and I’m really happy we were able to get in, get a drink, find a seat and leave when we were ready, rather than wait in long queues, only to not find a seat and feel rushed out by spot watchers. We still have loads more to spend on this card, so we’ll be back, i’m sure!

I don’t think I’ve ever waited so long for a drink before. This has to the be longest wait for any starbucks ever. The line is long and usually only one person is making drinks. I think I stood there for at least 40m.

Short and sweet here, since I don’t frequent this establishment much at all, the reason being, and also reason for the score, is the cost. I find it ridiculously over-priced for what it is. Evident by the fact that I had to be revived by a first aider after I was charged £3.55 for my coffee! Staff are efficient and friendly, but I probably won’t be back till the Eggnog Lattes are out. If even then.

My favourite Starbucks in the city, brilliant staff who make an effort to talk to you and remember your name. They quite often have little tasters available such as their salted caramel popcorn bar, depending on what time of day you come in. As one of the busiest Starbucks in Glasgow there’s always a buzz in here, great for people watching and a great place to study if the deathly silence of a library isn’t your thing. Free wifi too.

I like this starbucks very much. We even found out favorite place(chairs) to sit on. Big cups and lovely hot chocolate(i don’t drink coffee) good service(they remember your name if you return three times in 48 hours. If you wanna start your day but you need something warm; if you did shop or walk all day and you need a place to sit and het back your battery; if you love to watch ppl without moving at all; if you want to have wifi but won’t pay for it: drink something and it is for free. All of those thing you do on this starbucks. It is by the just 15 minute walk to central station.

When I used to come to town with my friends on the weekends, this was always my favourite Starbucks. We’d come in on a Saturday afternoon and go shopping for a bit before returning to this little coffee haven to grab a window seat and watch the world go by. It’s such a fantastic place to people watch; one of my favourite ever things to do! Nowadays, this Starbucks is one that I tend to avoid. It’s always absolutely packed and finding a seat is incredibly difficult at any point of the day. The staff are nice and always willing to give you the password for the toilets(yes, you heard me, password for the toilets. Very top secret things going on in there). I came in here on Tuesday as soon as I jumped off the train at Queen St from Edinburgh. I was heading to meet some Unilocalers and needed my phone to be charged so that I knew where I was getting them and when, and it was only on 1%. Having a window seat in here whilst charging my phone reminded me of the days I would come in here and chill, and because Tuesday was so sunny, it was absolutely lovely. The berry Refresha was lovely as well!

This used to be my favourite starbucks store but always found it too noisy. The place was never the same since they got rid of the green seats at the back. We call it nowadays the meat market.

Starbucks is by far the best coffee shop in Glasgow. A great place to warm up and have a laugh with a coffee in-hand.

I normally do not go into Starbucks. These bastards had me on a £2.75 a day habit when worked in the West end. They knew what they were doing when they piped the smell of fresh brewed coffee down into Hillhead station. So, what drew me back in? Fresh filtered coffee for a quid. It was crowded so I made it a takeaway. Decent coffee for a reasonable price. I was impressed. It almost reminded me of a Canuck Truck Stop. If truckers were all media lovelies with iMacs and truck stops played a lot of John Mayer.

Starbucks is Starbucks I hear you cry, but this one is my favourite by far in Glasgow, which automatically makes it extra special, of course! I don’t know why I do this, but after a crappy day for one reason or another, my pick me up drink is a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks, and there really is nothing better than grabbing a window seat in here, sitting down with a copy of Cosmopolitan and pretending you are all on your own, looking out and watching the wonderful people of Glasgow walk past. It is bliss. If you decide to come here at 5−6pm, you will probably wait a good 10 – 15 on your coffee, and might struggle to find a seat because the whole population of the offices of Glasgow descend upon the place. Another plus point is the man with the green hair and wacky clothing ensembles that sits crouched up on a seat outside, you’ll see him at least twice a week if you are a regular to Buchanan Street!

There are so many Starbucks within a short distance of each other! What is with that? There is one here, one practically waving directly at it from near Pizza Hut round the corner, one in Buchanan Galleries, one on Sauchiehall Street and unbelievably, one five minutes walk away on Royal Exchange Square! Like running the gauntlet of chatty charity workers in this area(has to be done when you have no moeny to give to them I’m afraid), one must also run the coffee gauntlet, brought to you by Starbucks. But by the time I get to this one, I find I have to stop to pep myself up with a latter of some description. This Starbucks is the biggest within the city centre’s pentagon of the coffee chain. There are loads of seats and queues go down really quickly. I have always received good service from here, nice coffee and when need be, I can sneak in to use their loos. When you gotta go, you gotta go. There are more Starbucks than there are people in Glasgow these days. But you could do a lot worse than this one!

This great big branch of Starbucks is one of the very many in Glasgow city centre, however this is the one where you’re most likely to get a seat. Seeming much larger than the rest, yet maintaining it cosy and comfortable atmosphere, this is possibly the best one in town. Its lovely big windows allow natural light to flood in, making it a really nice place to sit and enjoy one of their delicious yet pricey paninis for lunch with friends over some good coffee.

I’ve been here quite a few times, and I don’t drink coffee. I can verify that the masses agree that their coffee is good however, or at least make a sensible guess that they do by the dozens of Starbucks in every major city in the world. I come to this branch because it is a decent place to meet up for a chat if you have a kid. They are helpful and understanding, even if some of the patrons aren’t when the inevitable bawling and kicking begins. It’s on a busy spot and as such, is always busy.

Ok, I apologise. Reviewing a Starbucks is pretty lame. However, I’ve been to this one on quite a few occasions as sadly, there are few good independent places in town to grab a good cuppa. Two good friends of mine lived in the city centre so this Starbucks provided a great spot to meet for our regular catch ups due to its good location, good coffee(as standard) and good chances of getting a comfy seat. More recently I was in this Starbucks when I found myself in Glasgow very, very early on a Sunday morning(I know, very random but I was just off a flight after a weekend away). Just when I feared nowhere in town would be open and I’d be left standing in the freezing cold, this place came to my rescue. It’s open from 7am on weekends, 6.30 on weekdays. Mental.

A fave Starbucks of mine, along with the one on the corner of Battery and Clay in San Francisco — I’ve spent a few times in here as it’s right across from the Apple Store on Buchanan Street, and it’s a handy place to camp while waiting for a repair to get done(Apple Procare is the mutt’s nuts, by the way). It’s Starbucks, so the coffee is virtually identical wherever you go, but the baristas in this branch have always been friendly and helpful. Also, the proximity to the Apple Store is handy; if for some reason you can’t get onto Starbucks’ own WiFi service, you can pick up Apple’s from across the street. Hee hee.
