KP’s Fishmonger

I have been here a few times, but sadly don’t eat fish often enough.
This shop may not have a large selection to offer but what they do have is fresh, there are always deals on with fresh fish.
The guy at the counter is very helpful, in recommending what to buy and what you could make out if the item.
Definitely a 5* place

I popped into KP’s today for the first time when I was on my way to Partick’s farmers market and managed to grab myself a huge piece of natural oak smoked haddock, a pound of mussels and a whole seabass for £9. Now you could easily go to a chain supermarket and get the same for cheaper however it wouldn’t be as fresh and it’s always good to try and help out smaller, independent businesses. What’s more, you’re less likely to receive the same level of service.
The gent behind the counter at KP’s couldn’t have been nicer! He chatted away to me like I was a regular customer and also gave me some tips on how to cook my fish. He also offered to clean and scale the seabass for me which is ideal as I hate the mess scaling makes!
It’s not the biggest of shops so doesn’t have a massive choice and because of this I would have given 4 stars, however I was so impressed with the service that I have given 5!
