We came out of the cinema later than expected and didn’t have anything organised for dinner. My hubby really fancied noodles so I hooked onto Unilocal for some ideas and stumbled upon Hungry Sumo, just down the road from us on Duke Street. Hungry Sumo describes itself as Pan Asian and had a wide range of Japanese, Korean and Thai dishes, with meat clearly stated as Halal. I wish we had planned to sit in as the décor is lovely. The take out menu is very varied(see pics uploaded) with lots of my favourite japanese dishes featuring on the varied menu. For starters, I decided to opt for the Vegetable Gyozas and my husband wanted the chicken satay. The Gyozas were delish and plum sauce that accompanied them was really good. My husband was very impressed with the satay sauce. Both starters came with a side of spicy, crunchy noodles :) For mains, we tried Chicken Chow Mein, which was fresh and not oily. Lots of fresh vegtables, that were nice and crunchy. I tried the black bean noodles which I was very impressed wth, lots of vegtables and just the rice balance of noodles and black bean. Overall we were very impressed and surprised to find such a wee hidden gem on on doorstep :) Now we now its good, will be much more adventurous with our next order, keen to try some of the Korean style dishes.
