I have never been to a Hard Rock Café before, and went in here because of a previous photograph I had seen on Unilocal… the interior of this building is stunning and HRC have done a tremendous job of keeping original features to create a thriving and quirky place to meet, eat and drink. I don’t think of myself as a rock music fan, but I was amused to realise that I knew most of the music they were playing. The building used to be an old theatre, now it is a multi level bar and restaurant with bar style seating on a mezzanine and comfy booth seating on the main floor– you can now enjoy dinner on what used to be the stage or in the orchestra pit! Don’t miss the spectacular curved staircase/lift shaft either– they have put dramatic lighting and lots of shiny guitars in. If you are curious to see what this place used to look like, have a look at the Theatres Trust website at The drinks are quite expensive, although I was pleased to note that we got a small discount under a happy hour deal– I didn’t know it was a happy hour as this was not advertised. It was so busy for a Monday night, barely any free seats! The two bar staff were quite busy so it took a while to get served. They have a flip style menu which would be great if you were in a group, it is double sided so both sides of the table can read the same things at the same time. They have some interesting sounding non alcoholic cocktails and I was amused to see the Glasgow themed cocktails. It would be nice to see some US craft beers or more unusual beers, but they have Stella, Becks Vier, Budweiser and Boddingtons on tap. I’m not keen on the ‘enter through the gift shop’ approach, but as an international chain I can see why they do this. Some of the Glasgow merchandise was quite cool. I’d happily go back to show other architecturally minded friends this place.

We had a 20 minute wait for a table so had a seat at the bar and were given a buzzer to prompt us when our table was free. The drinks were overpriced, what a shame but £4.95 for a small bottle of Budweiser is not great. Our seat was located at the rear and offered a smashing view of the diner. Our server was a lovely girl, Emma and she told us about the building being an old theatre. We had a lovely chat and this enhanced our visit… by contrast we were then accosted by another server who gatecrashed into our meal and in her attempt to ask if we were enjoying our meal proceeded to out stay her welcome. Very off putting. We both agreed our legendary burgers were the best burgers we’ve tasted in a while but at £15 each burger I’d expected them to be good. We paid £1 more for parmesan chips and garlic aioli, it was worth it. I’m not sure if it’s new or if this is the first time I’ve been offered but I signed up for a loyalty card, points win prizes… lets see how that goes.

This is a great location! It was a former theatre and they have done a wonderful job making a very nice Hard Rock Café out of it. Love the back wall; and the balcony. And the tower of guitars at the entrance.

With a relative just starting university and new to the area, what a better end to a good day out we came here«for something better» and even more so as my guest had never been to Hard a Rock Café before. It’s not often that I get the chance to come here, mainly the price as one of the burger meals with a drink could easily buy a meal for two with drinks in a nearby place. I have been here before and rated the venue a 4⁄5 and a while back been to an event here and had a great time giving the event a 5⁄5 for food and service. This time things where a little different, our server was great, and our non alcoholic Tango Mango cocktails where great couldn’t have asked for anything better. We ordered the sharing combo platter instead of ordering individual items, followed by two house burgers with cheese. The sharing platter was truly amazing and we both really enjoyed it, but we couldn’t even manage to finish it, our table was checked on and I mentioned to the server that the side plate l was given was not the cleanest. Well our mains arrived, two house burgers, and the first thing I observed was that the plates where not clean, I mentioned this to the server, and they suggested that it may be from the burger, my reply was that I would have to had wipe a plate with a greasy burger to do this it was not possible. One good thing out of this was that someone came and spoke to me and listened, my suggestion was that there was no rinse aid in the machine or it was not going through properly. Maybe this was a one of, or just a bad day but l will come back in a few weeks and update review.

Typical hard rock café, including the usual shop. Good food but at at high prices. Though I must say that the interior of the café itself is stunning and nothing like any other hrc I visited before. Including very good live music.

Last night I attended the Unilocal night at The Hard Rock Café, it was my first time for food. I have attended their music night on a Wednesday but never considered the place for food, especially due to all the recently opened burger joints that have opened in Glasgow. On to the night itself, the staff kindly welcomed all that attened, a welcome drink provided and then we were given a lovely presentation with the history of the Company along with their company morals. Then came the food. I must say I was totally impressed, I loved that they didn’t just serve regular burgers. We got burgers from around the world, burgers that haven’t even been introduced to the menu yet. Each little slider was a mouth full of delight. A place I would not have considered for food I will happily return to. Also would like to say the staff were outstanding and really did demonstrate the brands attention to quality customer service! I will be returning and I hope my next experience is just as good!

After a couple more visits(none of my choosing, but both my nephew and niece like to go here for birthdays so we’ve been three times now) I’ve decided to bump my original review up a star because there really is quite a lot I like about Hard Rock Café. First, the music is rock music — I found myself repeating, «Oh I really like this one» every ten minutes last time we were there, and that doesn’t happen in very many restaurants. Then, the service is just so good. The staff do have that slightly over-the-top«Hi, I’m so-and-so and I’m your server for this evening» spiel they do, but I’m happy to sit through that and then have attentive, chatty and pleasant staff. I still think the food is a little overpriced and heavy on the breaded-and-deep-fried choices, but you get big portions and everything I’ve had has been perfectly fine. Last time we were there, we got free desserts because they said we’d waited too long for our main courses(apparently they ran out of mac for the mac and cheese and had to go get some more) but to be honest, we’d all been chatting and hadn’t even noticed the wait so it can’t have been that long. It was much appreciated though and I like a place that values good, efficient service so much it’s prepared to do that without being asked. Top marks go to the cocktails, which are priced on a par with most other places I’ve ever drank cocktails and which are really good. And you have to try the alcoholic chocolate ice cream drink — I can’t remember what it was called but OMG it was amazing, right down to the cream and cherry on top. It still wouldn’t be my own first choice for a place to eat, but I like it a lot more than I expected to and I’m perfectly happy to keep coming so long as there’s a family birthday to attend.

This is a hard review for me to write as I was so looking forward to my first HRC experience! Myself and the boyfriend visited on a snowy Friday night at around 7pm. We had priority booked so we were able to be seated about 10 minutes after arriving which was good. The first thing I noticed was how loud the music was– the member of staff had to repeat their questions 2 or 3 times to us. In fairness, I think all HRCs are like this so I am just being an old woman! :) We didn’t order starters as we had noticed how huge the mains looked! I ordered a strawberry Mojito and eagerly waited on this while reading the menu. My drink arrived and it was watery :(it tasted like strawberry juice mixed with soda water. Very disappointing. I had a chicken sandwich with chips and coleslaw which was nothing special but nice. We’d also ordered Mac and cheese as a side which didn’t have a lot of flavour but was perfectly fine. My boyfriend had ordered a pulled chicken sandwich and when it arrived it was cold. We asked the staff member if the sandwich was supposed to be cold and this led to a 2 minute debate about the sandwich. Eventually we asked for it to be replaced. When the new sandwich came out, it was piping hot and much better than the original one. Overall, the food was fine(once warm!) but overpriced for the quality. The cocktail was very disappointing and the atmosphere was lacking. It seemed fairly busy and I am sure other people will have had a better experience.

I was here for a company night out, we had the entire top floor to ourselves, and a rock/karaōke band for a couple of hours. Overall it was pretty good for what it was, it was good to see plenty of staff on, both behind the bar and serving. The food was all small party sized nibbles, including some teeny tiny sliders and from the pieces I tasted it was all pretty good. Drink wise a little pricey and not the bar wasn’t extensively stocked but I’ve been to worse. Given the rest of the reviews here I’m not sure I’d choose to visit here on my own, there are many better options very nearby.

I’ve visited a few Hard Rock Cafes, and although the food can be pretty tasty I generally think its pretty overhyped and priced and I can’t say it would have been my first choice for a Christmas night out. But alas, this came top choice amongst a group of my good friends for our annual Christmas night out. At £40 a head it certainly wasn’t the cheapest option, but included a live band, flying buffet style canapes and a drink. I was pleased when it turned out we were on one of the upper floors which had about ten tables of various work/group Christmas nights. Our party of 16 were split over two tables which was a minor quibble. The room was decked out complete with Christmas tree and chocolate coins in a centerpiece which kept us going till the food arrived … which admittedly did seem quite long. Served as mini canapes the starters included a few fishy options, melon and parma ham and the single veggie option of melon in port. The music was loud, like really loud ! I mean what did I expect its Hard Rock Café! Anyway, once the band came on I was pleasantly surprised they were in fact rather good — the lead singer had a cracking voice as he belted out a variety of popular hits mixed in with some Christmas stuff. The starters weren’t really much to speak of so next up came the mains which included mini tarts, veg, pigs in blankets etc. My veggie option came on its own plate which I was pleased about, and included some sprouts, 2 large chips and a stuffed pepper with what I think was some sort of veggie slaw. As it was all canapé style we had no cutlery… or indeed mini plates or napkins as they seemed to have been cleared away after the starters. Now the canapé mains were easy enough to eat for the meat eaters, but for me trying to eat a stuffed pepper with no cutlery wasn’t going to happen. Managing to catch a waitress I asked for some cutlery … to which she replied over the music — «What is it!» I was less than impressed, but she did bring me a knife and fork. The table menus didn’t tell me what the veggie options were and I would have liked to have known what I was eating. The menu had stated mini burgers, but these seemed bizarrely to be served much later than the mains. I was glad when a much friendlier guy brought me a mini veggie burger which was really meaty, complete with two mini veggie sandwiches(one of which my b/f munched). The burgers went down pretty well with the rest of the group too… much better than some of the fiddlier canapes. More dancing later… but what we all wanted was desserts which didn’t finally arrive till 10.20! I imagine this was so they could tempt us to buy drinks, but at Hard Rock café prices —(eh £5.50 for a Jack D and Coke — jeezo), we were limiting our intake! Desserts were served in mini cones — cheesecake, black forest gâteau and lemon posset. A mouthful of each was more than enough and they weren’t much to speak of. By this time we only had time for a few more dances before train home time and some classic cheesy pop tunes were a good way to end the night. Glad I’ve tried Hard Rock in Glasgow and the veggie burger was pretty tasty but I don’t think its somewhere I’ll rush back, especially with so many other options.

I thought it would happen, the sheen has come off slightly since my early visit. Most of the visiting out-of-town staff have gone home and I think the quality has suffered accordingly. My chicken tenders were still great, but the cheese burger was a bit bland with not enough cheese. Still a good experience though!

Now to kick-off this review I’d just like to let you know I’m really not keen on faceless chain restaurants, I’ve never enjoyed them and I like to feel I’m getting a slightly different experience than the last 100 people that came in the door, and with chain restaurants I don’t feel that way. However… Don’t tell anyone but I like Hard Rock cafés. I’ve been to quite a few over the world, London, Beijing, Barcelona and went to the one in New York but never ate in it. I’m a vegetarian but I’m a meat loving vegetarian, which might make no sense to people, so I’ll explain. When I was a meat eater I ate my steak blue and loved a good burger, so now that’s no longer an option, when I have a burger I like it to have texture and taste«meaty» So if I get a burger this way and no animal is involved in the making of it, I’m a happy chap. Coming in to the HRC you walk through their gift shop and up a couple of stairs into the main restaurant area, we arrived after work about 6 o’clock on a Friday night and it was already heaving. Now to let you know it wasn’t exactly random that we came here, it was also a Queen night, and being a huge fan of all things Freddie, I was in heaven. The service is fast, efficient and friendly, the guy that served us throughout our meal was great, he loved to talk as do I. We maybe talked too much, we ended up getting into quite an in-depth discussion about travel which I don’t think my girlfriend was overly enamoured about cause she was starving and we wouldn’t shut up. We ordered up drinks, and two Veggie leggie burgers, and I swapped out my fries for onion rings also went for a side of mashed potato. Food arrived promptly and it was spot on! It was so good I actually opened up the bun to see what it look like as it was so tasty, char grilled and sumptuous, served on top red pepper, yellow squash, huge field mushroom, tomato and sweet onions. Onion rings and fries served with as side of chipotle mayo. Never tried the fries but the onion rings are immense. Mashed potatoes weren’t that good, but we only ate half of them as we were stuffed, HRC do not skip on portion sizes, so prepare to be full! We didn’t stay that long as we were off to see 1984 at the Citizen’s theatre, but we had a quick stop in the gift shop where I got my girlfriend a limited edition Glasgow pin. The reason I’m telling you this is because my girlfriend hates chain restaurants more than I do, but now she’s talking about going to the one in Berlin to get their pin when we go travelling at the end of the year. So, good for me as I can get another Veggie leggie real soon. The décor is dark and the walls are packed with rock memorabilia as you would expect, from Angus Young to Roger waters, legends everywhere. I’m salivating writing this review, so I may have to pay Glasgow another visit quicker than I thought. Don’t go unless you’re hungry, rock on!

A pleasant dining experience. Been to exactly 9 different Hard Rock Cafes: 2 were in North America, 4 were in UK(inclusive of this one) and 3 in mainland Europe. It’s fair to say I am a big fan. I love that the food is exactly the same everywhere, that’s the idea with a chain. I always get a burger, and I always love it. I’m also partial to a cheeky side. What I am left with is whatever a particular venue has that is unique which more often than not is the staff and décor. Both are winners in this instance based on our experience, but not gold medallists. Our waiter forgot to get us water and we waited forever to get the bill as no-one paid is any attention(which we were enjoying for a while). It’s a rarity in HRC not to get relentless attention from the waiting staff and I was into it. It would have been extra phony in Glasgow. That we didn’t even get a customary ‘is everything okay?’ was a bit weird though. I loved that they played Clutch on the TV, which is very Glasgow. Ranks somewhere near the bottom of the list of the Hard Rock Cafes I have been to, which is a shame given it’s in my favourite city so the coming together should have made it a winner.

Hard Rock… we need to talk. I know you bask in your long enduring reputation, and probably get attention from HEAPS of other people. But the truth is, I’m done. It’s over. And it’s not me — it’s definitely you. Let me tell you why… Let’s start with your dank, dismal décor. You’re not a goth theme bar — you’re a grossly expensive corporate chain. It’s near enough 20 quid for a burger. You could switch some lights on, and maybe dangle some more guitars from your high ceilings, make it look a bit more interesting. From other Hard Rock’s I’ve visited — including your beautiful monster of a cousin in Berlin — the lacklustre interior was heavy disappointing, buddy. The queuing system was a riot. Queued out the door on Friday night was, I’ll give you, to be expected. Blocking the doorway with aforementioned queue without attempt to manouevre it to the side — a bottlenecked fire hazard. The layout is bizarre, anyway, but something will have to be done about that in event of a future accident. 2 hours wait for food. Sorry, I’m being diplomatic — 2 and a half hours wait for food. Conveniently enough, while you wait for food you can prop up the bar and drink yourself into a very expensive stupor to forget about your waiting time/the fact the bar hasn’t been scrubbed down in at least half an hour because you overwork your staff. One guy on the circular bar on a Friday night? Filled to capacity with 5 waiting staff scurrying about? Good job! When we eventually got a table in the eating area(which, to be honest, looks like any run-of-the-mill, mahogany adorned bar) the food was just OK. After all that… nothing to write home about. The cocktails are nowhere as big or bold as they look on the Photoshopped menu’s, the starters are just mad whack —(a plate of mac and cheese before a burger? Whit?) — and the burgers themselves were a soggy bonanza of sauce and overly gratuitous meat piling. It was like looking at a drunk man fall into his midnight kebab on a Saturday night — a leaning tower of beef that had to be gorged using cutlery as it flopped over on your plate slowly, painfully. The chips were alright — bit Wetherspoons which, btw, I’m not snobby about — at least they’re honest, £2 fries. They’ve invented a Scottish burger and put Irn Bru in their mayo in an attempt to appeal to us crazy, fast food loving Glaswegians. I mean, we eat deep fried chocolate — might as well ruin our condiments, too. WE’RETHATMENTO. There are TV’s everywhere in a Kerrang-laced Orwellian nightmare. The saving grace of the entire evening was hearing Andrew W K and wondering if my idealistic 17 year old self would have loved this place, but I doubt it. They played Beyonce. I love Beyonce and I love rock music — but Bey does not even pretend to be heavy metal. I’m getting bored listening to myself verbally slate this place. The worst part of the evening was the burden of every nihilist in the room — the ENTIRE restaurant was forced, several times, to sing happy birthday to people we didn’t know. Music turned off, chatter hushed, staff announcing that we would ALL be singing whenever another cake was rolled out. I’m sure it was lovely for the 15 year old’s and I’m not that much of a bastard to resent them their moment in the sun, but still. Forced fun gives me the boke. That’s why I cried when I visited Butlins at the age of 8. We came, we moaned, we left. And I won’t be going back for round two. You can check out my reviews to see that I don’t «one star» lightly — but on this occasion it was widely deserved. Glasgow is awash with burger places at the minute. This chain’s execs should do their research and weep that so many other people are doing it better than them rather than resting on their laurels(and hard ca$h that they bleed.)

I admit, I fell for the Hard Rock PR machine in the past. I’ve eaten in more than I care to admit, in more countries than I should have. Instead of trying out local foods and restaurants, I went in to a Hard Rock. Bad times. One day I had an epiphany. It’s a brand. They don’t really«get» the whole rock concept, they just see it as a marketing point to suck you in and drain your wallet, which would explain the usually extortionate pricing system. I’ll admit, I still like the shirts, but probably wouldn’t buy one any more. The Glasgow offering is cavernous. It doesn’t feel welcoming, with all the tables for eating arranged in a seeming pit on the floor, with the bar stuck in a corner as an afterthought. It’s just cold and clinical and bland. I went in to have a drink, read the paper and have a look at the memorabilia. That part is well worth a look(the Glasgow highlight being the schoolboy suit and Gibson SG of AC/DC’s Angus Young) and gives you an excuse to visit at least once. For me, rock music is about heart, soul and passion. This place? It doesn’t have that. I’d be much happier at Glasgow’s other rock orientated joints — Rufus T. Firefly, The Solid Rock Café and Rockus.

It’s hard to be non-judgemental about a chain restaurant, particularly one the size of Hard Rock Café. It is a truly global brand with a seriously serious army of fans. So, if you really want a taste of Glasgow, I wouldn’t blame you for visiting a smaller independent, of which there are many! But stick with me! There’s a reason I’ve given this five stars. Hard Rock Café was the product of foodie allied forces as two Americans visited London in the early 1970’s. Isaac Tigrett and peter Morton were not impressed by the exclusivity of restaurants with quality food on the menu. They believed that great food could be enjoyed by ordinary working class people and families. With that in mind they opened their first store in Piccadilly and quickly built a loyal following. It was some time before they began introducing the now familiar collection of memorabilia; instead focusing on building a reputation for tasty food. The franchise spread beyond British shores and proved a natural hit in the brothers homeland, and birth place of rock ‘n’ roll. Through the 80s and 90s, it garnered its reputation for BBQ, parties and awesome tuneage. A great place for an ‘event’ night out, where diners could feel like stars among the glitzy suits and Gibson Les Pauls. This approach to satisfying customers has evidently worked and when you go to the Hard Rock Café, whether in Berlin or London, the feeling of being part of ‘the band’ is strong. And this is no different to Glasgow. All the same elements are there; guitars, suits, gold discs, great cocktails and a group of staff determined to make your night amazing. A ‘vibe’ manager is employed to take song requests and make sure your ears as a happy as your tastebuds. The restaurant also makes great use of Glasgow’s history. The traditional Hard Rock aesthetic is built around the Grade II listed building, once the Victorian Athenaeum Theatre. The classic architecture harks back to the decadent wealth the city’s rich and powerful enjoyed during the industrial revolution. When i visited in December, the restaurant(I think) was still finding its feet and building its collection of memorabilia. Now, with even more attachment to Glasgow, diners can check out items from the Sensational Alex Harvey Band(SAHB) and even a classic Marti Pellow suit from Wet Wet Wet. These particular items are displayed in the 500 capacity gig venue above the restaurant. We were given a tour of the facility and I think it could definitely add to Glasgow’s live scene. So, this night was all about some new menu additions, which we were being invited to try(Huzzah!!). To get in the swing of things, a trio of mini-margaritas arrived with a side of nachos. This is the ‘Air Mexico’. Each cocktail was, unsurprisingly, a hit. Me and tequila just work well together. And then two more rounds arrived! Next came the ‘Nachopalooza’. I’m not sure I need to explain. We were treated to two enormous plates, one topped with southern fried chicken and the other with slow cooked brisket. Completing the quattro of starters were the jumbo sharing platter(chicken fillets, onion rings, lovely bruschetta, crackers and a really tasty spinach guacamole) and a plate of loaded potato skins. The nachos are listed as being for one but the staff will quite fairly tell you the sensible option is to share. Between six of us, we struggled. For the main course, I opted for he new tango burger; two lean steak patties topped with blue cheese, jack cheese, sloppy joe sauce and crispy onions. The burger also came with a healthy portion of fries. My wife went for the fillet of fish sandwich, which I have been reliably informed, was delicious. I have to say though, that, even though we shared the starters, it was all a bit much. I managed to finish my burger but only after sacrificing the bun. Special mention for the blue cheese, which to my surprise proved an excellent companion to the meat. A really nice kick. My only negative would be that I enjoy my meat a wee bit rarer than the well done burger I received. The new menu, for me, really worked and while it hardly strays from what you’d expect from Hard Rock Café, it sufficiently delivers on taste and quality. As I said, you get an experience, more than just your food. You get to be part of the Hard Rock band. One last note… our host Gillian was fantastic. She clearly described each course and the ingredients to the food and cocktails. She was lively, engaging and gave us an informative tour of the gig venue. She also gave me the insight in to a wee bit of the history of the company. To cap off a great night, we also left with a Hard Rock Café thermos gift.

After a hard days shopping I was much in need of a cocktail and a bite to eat. A very chirpy waitress told us about the venue and showed us to our seats, a nice touch to tell us about the things on display but to be honest I was just ready to sit and relax! Although its pretty expensive for essentially pub grub, the food was nice and we didn’t have to wait an age to be served. Overall its a pretty decent place for lunch, the only bad thing for me is the overly attentive staff… I like a little peace to eat and chat!

Right, where do I begin? It was a wet Monday night and my husband and I were heading up to Cineworld but both felt a bit hungry. As we passed by HRC my husband stopped to look at the menu. With a bit of a queue outside we were both a little intrigued so asked the host outside if we could go in and take a look. She was lovely and said yes. We walked into the shop and the shop over looks the restaurant and bar. We decided to take another look at the menu and the place was packed and filling up quickly. We thought that was a sign that this place would be amazing so decided to stay for a quick bite to eat. WELL, we thought we’d be sitting in the awesome restaurant we could see from the shop but instead were taken downstairs into this big massive room that lacked atmosphere! We were totally disappointed but we’re not ones to complain. When we were seated we took a look at the menu I couldn’t decide between the mac and cheese or another pasta dish. I’m sorry but I was just not about to pay £13 for a burger! When the server came over she was really lovely and chatty and she noticed that we didn’t yet have our cutlery so she brought us some. Because I hadn’t yet decided I asked her if I should have the mac and cheese or the other pasta dish(sorry I can’t remember what it was called) and she said they were out of pasta. Slightly annoyed I looked over the menu again and decided on the burger(what started as a bite to eat was turning into an expensive dinner). Then we waited… and waited and waited and waited and had two people apologise and assure us our food was coming soon and then we waited some more. 45 minutes later our food arrived. I asked for mayo with my burger(which never arrived). I had the California burger because it came with guacamole(which I love) but I was totally disappointed! There was hardly any guac and the burger itself was just a patty that was too circular and perfect to me homemade. It was dry and completely mediocre. My husband had the pulled BBQ chicken sandwich and he loved it. By the time the food came though, I think we would have eaten anything we were starving. They did take my burger off the bill since we had to wait so long — so only having the pay for my husband’s sandwich we didn’t grudge it too much but I would definitely not be in a rush to head back anytime soon. Especially at those prices(which they conveniently don’t list on the menu outside) Food: Meh Atmosphere: If you’re in the main part it looks cool but we were in the downstairs part that lacked atmosphere Toilets: They smelled nice and were tidy.

This review is based on drinks only as we never ate there. A friend and I were looking for some good food and a couple of drinks on a Sunday night. The long wait and no prices outside(why do places do this, it’s such a con) made us skip hard rock for food and we went to burger meats bun instead. We decided to go to hard rock for cocktails afterwards. We managed to get a seat at the bar(there aren’t many) then looked at the menu. We chose two martini glass type cocktails(one was cherry and one was passionfruit I think) and shared them. The cocktails did not appear to use a lot of fresh fruit or quality ingredients but were almost £8 each. There are too many good Cocktail bars(the restaurant bar & grill, blue dog etc) in Glasgow city centre to justify spending that sort of money & not getting a perfect drink. Disappointing.

This is only the second Hard Rock that we have visited, so we don’t have much to compare it to as far as the brand goes. We only popped in to pick up an XMAS present from the gift shop but were faced with what I guess was supposed to be a «greeter» that was dressed in a black bomber jacket and looked a bit like a bouncer with a tablet computer. Once in the gift shop we felt it was a bit small and cramped, despite only staff being there. This is in comparison to the Hard Rock at universal Florida so it could be an unfair comparison but I’d hate to try being there when it’s busy. I had a look over the viewing platform to the restaurant and bar, but I felt that it too was a bit small and I had expected something bigger, brighter and blingier. Maybe some time we will pop back in and check out the food and drink, but a quick glance at the menu outside didn’t give me that draw that I would expect, especially as we couldn’t spot many vegetarian options.
