Had the cajun chicken with seasoned fries, not shabby but not exceptional at that sort of price. I was there at lunch midweek, and it didn’t appear too busy. Service was relatively swift. Apart from the trappings of the location, I can’t actually see why this place is priced so high with what appears to be fairly ok food, but i intend to return and try the mexican offerings.

I’m pretty well in agreement with Dallis’ review – this is the place you should have been going for Americana. I didn’t try the Mexican, having had Tex-Mex last night for tea, but I was duly impressed with the Cajun fried chicken. Rather pricey for a lunch, but portion sizes are also American, so you get a good amount for your cash. Also, the service was quite good and fairly fast for a busy lunchtime, and welcoming to a single customer. Particular point: they do utterly perfect American style fries. I’m not sure how or why, but they are exactly the sort of fries I like. I’ll be back for that alone. (Be warned that there are quite a number of mums and weens that frequent Princes Square of a weekday lunch. It may not be the best place for a quiet romantic time of it.)

Years, I tell you, YEARS I have been searching for a Mexican/American restaurant which wasn’t TGI Fridays. Something to remind me of home. Finally, someone had the bright idea. Buzzy Wares is great. It’s homespun, friendly, ‘ya’ll come back now, y’hear?’ kind of lovely. I love the 50’s style diner décor, the upfront and honest menu, and the lovely service. Burritos, burgers(yum.) and quesodillas, top it all off. Definitely worth a visit, as it’s so relaxed, you’ll not want to leave after lunch. Fancy dinner now? Ok!

Very pleasant American/Mexican diner. Nice ambience albeit the tunes were modern-day and didn’t necessarily fit with the décor. Staff were very attentive and had a sense of humour. The jalapeño burger is awesome! As Arnie said in Terminator… «I’ll be back!»

It’s diner-style central, trying to be a little bit retro. It’s the comfortable, welcoming place of Princes Square. After a rather stressful morning, I went here with some friends for lunch. We waited for 15 minutes before we were seated, a given that it was after 1pm on a saturday. We were eventually seated next to one of the fountains which smelled really really strongly of chlorine. It’s not their fault, but it wasn’t the best of seats. Anyway, we powered on through, and ordered an expensive lunch of a burger, nachos and a quesidilla. Yes, the service was thereafter fast — we literally received the food 10 minutes after ordering it. It was all tasty enough, however, the quesidilla was rather plain for £7. The nachos on the otherhand were better. Yum! I cant quite make up my mind — it’d probably be best to go in when it’s less busy, and there are less children screaming and running about the place…

Buzzy Wares can be found on the bottom floor of Princes’ Square shopping centre. Interestingly, it’s been there since 1988, which is almost as long as I’ve been about! It is moderately priced despite the opulent setting in Princes’ Square. It sells kind of American food. Now, I know I keep despairing of Americana places, but it’s lovely in here. It’s a lot more subtle, with a kind of Deco feel. When it comes to their food, the only thing I can comment on is their club sandwich. Which is absolutely delish. Actually, just thinking about it, I want one for my lunch. It has the perfect ratio of fillings: smoky, salty bacon, good quality chicken, the freshness of the lettuce and tomato, and a good helping of creamy mayo. It’s the second best club sandwich I’ve ever had, after the club sandwich of my own creation. I’m a genius in the kitchen, though, so I guess that’s kind of unfair. When in company, other people have mostly had burgers, although I wasn’t allowed a taste when I asked. I guess that means the burgers aare good! The ladies’ toilet has«Powder Room» written on the door, so keep that in mind if you’re like my daft cousin and don’t get it.

Great place! Its an American diner themed restaurant and bar downstairs in the Princes Square shopping centre. Great for taking a break during some serious shopping ;) The food is — great burgers and even better tex-mex. Ice cream and cakes(try the cheesecake!) for afters as well. They do the usual suspects in drinks and they do have a little bar if you’re after something alcoholic. The staff are friendly and its nice and clean. It is a family friendly place but not overly so. The service is also pretty fast as well which i like. I hate waiting.
