I like the owner. He’s a nice wee Frenchman who is passionate about food. I have eaten here a couple of times and feel like the café’s strength lays in crêpe’s. The crêpe’s are really really great. The pizza was good. Everything was made to order and the ingredients were quite fresh. If I could recommend one thing to the owner to make this place amazing would be to shorten the menu and concentrate on it’s strengths. The sandwiches are good. We had the minute steak with caramelized onions with a mustard sauce which was to die for. I always get a funny feeling when there are too many things on a menu that not everything can be fresh. Thats my only qualm. Over. and. out.

A fantastic little West end deli which is kind of more like a café than a deli. It sells coffee like items, as well as a load of little food things that are quite Mediterranean based i think. All importantly they sell cakes! and many other nics and naks. The service is good, people are nice and the customers make a pretty good atmosphere too. The deli isn’t just a hop skip and a jump from the city centre but for people who travel through the west end or for the many Glasgow Uni students who live around that area, Del’Ziri is pretty cool as far as a tiny food shop and food takeaway. Some of the items in the shop are pretty specialised too and might be the only place you can get them. The food to order is a but different being exotic. Well worth a try.

Del Ziri’s is a magic wee Mediterranean deli situated two minutes away from Kelvinbridge Underground at the top of Park Road. It’s small and fresh inside with an offering of capers and deli delicacies in jars for you to take home, but there’s also a few tables, complete with checkered table cloths, if you want to sit in. Very nice on a day when the sunlight is blasting through the windows and you’ve nipped in for a wee read and a coffee. You can get a pizza with freshly chopped toppings from here, but their strongest area seems to be sandwiches and baguettes — perfect if you’re in a hurry. There’s a wide selection of toppings disaplyed in the fridge and surrounding jars that are not only healthy but flippin’ delicious. After just polishing off a panini from this very establishment I would strongly recommend that option. You can choose some selections from the list with toppings that complement each other, but additional toppings only cost an extra 45p so you might as well stuff yourself like I did! I opted for the veggie delight with extra everything! Just kidding, although I did get some dill pickle popped in there. While discussing my odd choice of dill pickle and feta with humous with the owner he did not question my curious taste buds but was really friendly and well organised. Everything is freshly prepared so the panini tasted out of this world. It’s been a fortnight since I ate anything of healthy susbstance and I feel miles better after my meal! When you’re working your fingers to the bone, living off hot dogs and you wonder why you’re tired, you should really start examining your lifestyle. Not only was the panini fresh and packed with toppings, but I feel rather bouncy now, too! After a near run in with some local pigeons who obviously agree that Del Ziri’s is delicious, and a minor tragedy where I lost a dill pickle to the pavement, I can honestly report that panini was a culinery delight! For the same price as a Subway meal deal(which quite often leave you feeling a bit sluggish) in here you can get a big baguette generously filled with tasty fillings that leaves you feeling good. The bread is so well baked it’s crispy and soft on the inside, just how I like it! I will definitely be returning.
