My guy and I stopped in here twice over the weekend for a quick coffee pick me up. Right outside of Haymarket Train Station, this place is super convenient if you’re about to start your day here or possibly end your day here! My guy isn’t that big of a Starbucks fan(due to the fact that it can be quite pricey for what you get), but he does love his coffee and the fact that they have their filter coffee on special now for a pound, he was easily tempted to enjoy some coffee with me. Both times we were in, he ordered the filter coffee and I ordered a mocha and we sat in a little table towards the front of the shop. It was quite cold in Edinburgh this weekend, so it was nice to sit down and relax for a bit with some good coffee. Free wifi, no password needed and the toilets feel like you’re in a train/airplane toilets(they’re quite small) but they do the trick. There are ATM’s right outside the starbucks and some out door seating if you’re so inclined. Great little shop, great staff, great coffee.

This little Starbucks is handy for Haymarket station. I have been in here a couple of times with friends who are waiting on their trains. I was sitting in the last visit but got my coffee in a takeaway cup when I said I was sitting in, got the impression it was less washing up to do. It was cleaner than the last time which was good and we managed to get a table which was a bonus.

Hopefully a quick review for once! It’s a small Starbucks, but right outside of Haymarket station so convenient all the same. I haven’t noticed a difference between here and other Starbucks in all honesty, other than it being a bit smaller than I’m used to, so it is what it is… if you’re looking for a convenient Starbucks for the station then this one will certainly do. One plus point is that every now and again at a Starbucks I get a watery frappucino… you know, the kind that just isn’t icy enough… I hate it when that happens! I can’t say I’ve really had that happen here though. It looks like they are readying a cut pseudo outside sitting area… when that’s done it might even make 4 stars… it’s not that it’s bad as it is, it’s just more like a really big stand versus sit in Starbucks at the moment.

Oops Its seems I had reviewed this one wrong thinking it was the one down the street! haha O I go to Starbucks too often to remember which one is which. THIS starbucks is small and perfect to grab a latte and GO! Not much in places to sit, but hey if you have 15 min to kill its better then standing inside the train station. The baristas are always friendly here and busy! But I can’t complain having a starbucks right there as I go in our come out of the train station is wonderful!

This location has really picked up its game! A lot cleaner and friendlier than the last few times I have been here.

A great Starbucks to grab a quick drink in after/before a journey as it’s located right outside Haymarket station, but nonetheless a Starbucks, so don’t expect the best coffee on this planet. Nice staff, nice big windows for people watching if you’re nosy like me, and the same range of cold/hot beverages, cakes and sandwiches that every other Starbucks has to offer.

This is an alright Starbucks, Starbucks be Starbucks, but darn it! It always makes me want a coffee just before I get a train and since I tend to do the Haymarket-Waverley connection(before heading further afield) I end up juggling my Starbucks coffee and my umpteen-million bags(I am a bag lady) and inevitably spilling. Awkward. So it’s not a fault of Starbucks really, just that it’s too darn tempting when I know I’ve only got train coffee for the next 6 hours! Apart from that, fast service, usual Starbucks selection. Quite small so don’t expect to sit down. The doors are dodge so be careful you don’t get a smack in the face as you try to navigate the suits with the rolley suitcases. And, annoyingly, perfectly placed outside the train station, though there’s also AMT nearby, and a Pumpkin café in the station.

Located next to Haymarket train station, this Starbucks is a great place to grab a coffee and muffin when you’re running late and have a long journey ahead. The staff are fast and friendly and for a train station café, it’s usually pretty quiet and relaxed. The fact the produce is the same as the other 15,000+ locations around the world means you know exactly what you’re getting too. In my case, that’s a large americano to go with a blueberry muffin please!

This branch of Starbucks is located right next to Haymarket Train Station and even though it has an excellent location, it’s never ridiculously busy like some other branches. Whenever I’ve been in, it’s always been nice and calm and the relaxed atmosphere makes it slightly different from some other, more hectic Starbucks where you’ll find everyone and their gran sipping on a latte. Their summer lemon fraps are amazing and are definitely the flavour of the week for me just now, especially when they’re accompanied by a lemon and poppy seed muffin. Yum.

For a small, usually crowded, branch of Starbucks right next to an ear-rattling train station, this place stands out. Not only because it provides the coffee that wakes me up on more weekdays than I’d care to mention, nor because it’s very easy to meet up with people here if you live outside of the city and are coming in by train for a day of shopping. More because the staff are always friendly and never laugh too much at me when I completely fail at counting in the early morning and hand them the entirely wrong amount of money. More also because the drinks they provide are always right, the baked goods are utterly delicious(and served warm if applicable and requested).

In a town not lacking in branches of the coffee giant, the Haymarket Station branch just about manages to stand out. Most impressive is the fact that it has a(small) sun terrace to sit and sip your frappuchinos during the summer, or to completely ignore when it’s cold. The biggest draw of the terrace however, is that it looks directly across the tracks of the train station, and so would be the perfect place for a coffee conscious trainspotter to while away the hours with pencil, pad and mocha. Other than that, it’s a Starbucks. Enjoy
