See Mr Cove drinking here every week, not me, my old man. I’m Mr little Cove. Im not religious at all and nor are the men in my family but they come down here every week to catch up and watch sports in the main hall on the giant projector screen. This is a brand new building funded by Tesco(as Tesco had the old one destroyed so it could build its tumor megastore onto the heart of Cradley) There is a function room upstairs that sometimes they serve food at during key points in the year, i had a meal there last Christmas and it was really nice, simple but i left feeling good and full. Its a locals establishment so expect to be greeted by them upon entry. There are always a ton of events going on for people of all ages.

I am by no means religious, but Cradley Heath is quite a religious town. The Salvation Army plays a big part in the local community, especially for the town’s older residents. The original Salvation Army hall was destroyed to make way for the massive Tesco that now looms over the town. This replacement hall was built on Meredith Street and as these places go, it is a pretty smart and well-equipped place of worship. There’s a big car park, which is always packed during services. There’s also a nice conservatory/café area here they hold craft groups, meet ups and meals for local elderly people. They also have a play area and run moms and toddlers groups.
